I appreciate Herhsel not trying to tell Rick that he's delusional. He knew as soon as he picked up that phone and didn't hear that dial tone that Rick's mind was messing with him hard and he was having a psychotic episode. When he didn't hear the dial tone, he just stared at Rick, then looked at the phone, and listened again before he hung up as Rick was explaining the two previous phone calls. The biggest mistake people do when trying to convince someone who's having delusions is trying to convince them that they're delusional. That's a BIG mistake. Doing that makes the person feel disrespected and make them even MORE distressed. If Hershel tried to convincd Rick that he was delusional, he probably would have snapped hard. He did everything right. When someone's having a psychotic break and delusions, don't try to convince them that that's what's happening. Delusions feel REAL. The one having the delusions feelings are REAL. Don't challenge them and their delusions. Don't invalidate their feelings. Acknowledge them. Those feelings are very real. Give them support. LISTEN to them. They want to feel heard. Show empathy. I don't a lot of people don't know what that means, don't kmow how to execte that, or simply don't have that in them, so just listen if that's the case. Make sure they're safe and everyone around them is safe. If they're talking about hurting themselves or other people, call 911. Don't hesitate. They be mad at you for it, but better be safe than sorry, that's for sure. Lastly, convince them to talk to get help with talking to a trained mental health professional who can actually provide treatment with support. Granted, we don't have those or healthcare providers just lying around in a zombie apocalypse, but in our reality, they're there ready to help and considering the times we're living in as a collective, we probably need them more than most have as a group, so please, everyone make sure their mental health is straight. Even if you think you're fine, what can going in getting checked hurt? No different than getting a routine checkup/physical at your pcp doctor, even when you think you're healthy and don't need it. Might actually discover something you didn't even know was there or realize that something you thought was fine was actually a problem...

Rule number 1: When outside camp, always have a 4 piece formation to cover all sides. Rule number 2: Everyone is gun, knife, and blunt force weapon trained. Also, ages 10 and up must exercise everyday to keep our strength and stamina (unless they have a condition). If someone is professionally trained in some sort of combat, then everyone needs to be trained in the basics of what they know. Rule number 3: Nobody leaves camp for longer than 3hrs without the group leader or co leader. Rule number 4: Everyone is equal once we leave the camp. Treat nobody as more special or less special. However, we always fight together and give our lives for each other if need be. Rule number 5: Contradictory to rule 4, if needed in any situation for any reason, prioritize medical professionals then women then children.

Unfortunately I disagree with Brandon, but i agree with him too. I would hate to put my partner in harm's way. But I never feel totally secured in these camps in this show. So I would feel like she's safer with me, whether outside or inside, than anywhere else. I just gotta be that much more trained and big daddy. Also im assuming my woman would be trained in knife, hand to hand, and gun combat like me so she's not a liability out there. Also also, when she unfortunately falls pregnant, then she's inside at all times. I just might never leave camp either for those months tbh.

I'm loving this! I said I would never rewatch this series again bc of all the emotional ups and downs, etc. I loved this series and GOT. It's some things I just don't remember seeing bc it's been so long! I definitely didn't remember the scene with Meryl, Glenn, Maggie. I'm like where was I when this happened? I definitely understand what Rick is going through. It’s tough when you lose someone especially if y’all were beefing. I think Glenn needs some extra training if he got a 0% Big Daddy rating. 😂😂 Going out as a couple can definitely be distracting if you’re always worried about the other person. It can blind you to your surroundings and instincts.

it’s so hard seeing rick lose his mind. bc we know how level headed he is. just shows that no matter how strong you are or good you are humans can only take so much trauma before they snap. the fact he couldn’t even look at or hold the baby shows how much he is HURTING. he can barely make eye contact with anyone, he’s antsy and can’t sit still. andrew lincoln got robbed he should’ve won multiple emmy’s but shows like this don’t get recognized 🙄 and at least they get a piece of lori with the baby. and mad props to hershel for being empathetic and just listening to rick. he didn’t judge him or try to force him to get it together. but the good thing about psychosis is it can be temporary. like hershel said rick did his job and got them a stable home he earned a lil break. he needed closure which is why he “talked” to lori and the phone started to get more static once he started coming back to reality. life is short so say what you got to say when you can. he planned to forgive her and work through it but you can’t plan in an apocalypse. also rick holding the baby was beautiful 🥺 tragic but still a nice moment.

I got mad love for Brandon but I'm gonna need him to tap outta these discussions about what women can and can't be doing. It's the zombie apocalypse brother, if an able-bodied individual is volunteering to go out and has proven themselves to be qualified then we good, we need all the help we can get. Women are more than just jewels and plenty of them can handle themselves just fine and don't need people telling them to stay at home while they run off trying to be superheroes messing around and getting themselves killed out of some sense of pride and chivalry. Someone like Maggie who has shown themselves to be calm under pressure, proficient at taking down walkers, smart, and resourceful when scavenging can do what they want. Doesn't matter if they're a man, woman or a dog. You can survive like that? You good. I'd much rather someone like Maggie who is reliable and capable at my side than old boy who was peeing himself at a dead walker and then thinking he's superman and acting a reckless fool after knifing one backing me up simply because he's a man. Heck if anything, Maggie has shown herself to be harder than Glenn at this point who has been freezing up. Glenn doesn't own Maggie, she can do what she wants. Now these little cutesy date runs, they gotta end though, I feel you on that one!

Evolutionary terms... men are around to protect, provide and be expendable. women and children are the resources. women are there to nurture, forage, plan, comfort, teach, and take care of the home situation. really, to be the strength of the community and to build it's future. now there can be exceptions, some women are capable and esp the michonne's n stuff who don't have any kids to look after or men around to say naww... you're not here to go die, I am... that's why she became ninja lady in the first place btw lol. and it's fine to be capable and to help protect and provide. It's situational, to a degree. Not like they can NEVER go on runs. but we're not about to act like the exception is the rule or that it's EVER ok to say hey let's go put you in danger for no reason. When there's other options. This willy nilly playin with your girl's life shit. But going instead of her is the decision a man is supposed to make, at least. And he does several times, in this show. And I'm sure Hershell will say to himself "I made the right choice, with this one".. I can't help but notice no women are pretending they don't understand how this works. Situations and options will change. But women and children will always be the resources to protect. men will always be expendable. whether you wanna choose to acknowledge it or not. There's some conditional parts, a tiny bit of subjectivity in some parts. no one is saying women can never fight, in a world like this they'll have to, at some point. but women and children are the resources and men are expendable. THAT part has never changed and never will. Certainly not in zombieland lol. when folks need to understand it the most.

rick's is kinda all over the place. any time he screams he breaks out of it. he breaks out of it a LOT. and over-hams it sometimes. other times he'll invent his own totally new accent no one else on earth has for like half a sentence, or sometimes even a full sentence or 2 if his eyebrows are real low an he's talking quiet lol. honestly sometimes it's outstanding sometimes I actually laugh, it's so bad. just a crapshoot. in fairness it's hard to compare a dude who only has x amount of scenes to Rick, not really a fair contest.. anyone can stay consistent for x amount of scenes lol hell if you listen to me long enough I'll break outta my own real life accent probably governer's is pretty good and he actually stays in it and never butchers it, it's consistent. It ain't a fair contest. but I def gotta give it to him over rick. although it sounds maybe a bit more... Savannah? low country sc? idk what exactly but I get the scarlet O'Hara reference for a worse version of what he's doin lol gov sorta sounds like... a Confederate general or something .. like the aristocratic heir to an enormous ndigo and race horse plantation... like he should be sippin sweet tea and bourbon on a roman revival porch with moss trees in front of him.. with a white suit and a big funny hat a cane and a big ol white gold secret society pinky ring with a huge ass ruby in the middle lol.. but they really sound like that around savannah and Charleston lol wilmington and stuff even. it's.. pretty damn solid. To me. but... prob not very Atlanta. Shane's is great, too. morgan's sounds the most authentic. to me. I always thought he was really from GA or something until just now.. it's pretty flawless. and daryl's is solid, he's got a decent North GA Appalachian accent going. But tbh part of it is maybe bc the character is so accurate it helps the accent along. and I'm prob biased bc he's just about the only character in tv history that represents me n my folks and my culture who actually has some teeth left and doesn't try to butt fsdjk someone. or axe murder some teenagers in a car lol or snort some crank and try to murder T dog on a roof for no reason after calling e a n** .. so maybe i'm just giving Daryl extra home team points for that. but it's real solid, daryl's.

i lowkey felt lori when her and andrea were talking at the farm about gender roles. it is important to have that nurture and community that women are best at building while the boys go on runs, defend, etc. not saying there aren’t any outliers as we’ve mentioned like michonne or maggie but women and men are built and think differently for a reason. men do things women can’t and women do things men can’t. you gotta have some type of balance or it will only be survival and no actual living. men are supposed to sacrifice their lives for their family (women and children) and in general that’s why it’s always women and children FIRST then the men.

Unless you have kids, leaving your woman behind to keep her safe is the worst thing you can do for her during a zombie apocalypse. Something happens to you and she hasn't been prepared to walk Merle down with a pokerface (couldn't help it) she's screwed. Literally and figuratively. I also think Maggie would have shot Merle if it weren't for Glenn knowing him. She doesn't need Glenn to protect her. And remember that Glenn was a pizza delivery guy when this all started. He's come a long way.

I came back to make a comment because I don’t think you guys realized in I think the last episode when Daryl puts a Cherokee rose on a grave with rocks spelling the letter C. The group has thought Carol was dead along with Lori & T-dog. That is why Daryl is so upset sitting by that door stabbing carols knife he just found into the ground. Because in that moment he is sad she is dead & the sound of the door knocking is just annoying him.
