I don’t think Ellis saw everything his mom did, but I truly feel like his anger only stems from that convo, not that Boyd shot Abby. If that makes sense. The fact that he told Boyd that Abby’s mental state was deteriorating and he still decided to make the town his #1 priority is what makes Ellis still standoffish to his father.

I also thought to still be THAT mad after all this time was crazy. I get Ellis was mad at first cause Boyd wasn't listening to his concerns about his mom. How has he not realized yet that there's nothing Boyd really could have done? Everybody in this whole town is irrational and self-righteous and they all work my nerves at some point tbh lol still love the show anyway!

Now that I think about it, what Sarah did is kinda what Abby did. Abby was killing people cuz she thought it was the way to bring them home and Sarah was doing the same thing. Yeah, she knew it was wrong but whatever those voices were telling her was convincing. Sarah just didn’t crash out like Abby did. Yal ease up on Sarah cuz I was heated for Kenny too at first. I think Sarah is a nice girl, that place just chose her.

Ellis isn't mad at Boyd for killing his mom, he's really mad that he wasn't there after he repeatedly asked him to check up on her. So he was thinking it's his fault she ended up becoming that way, because Boyd wasn't there to help her.
