I thought we was going to have a Lori and Maggie moment I think Ellie should have tried to deliver the baby but I really don't think the baby would have made it after all they didn't have a Herschel and she only she only looked about 5 or 6 months alone. Ellie annoys the heck out of me she should have listen to Jesse and go find Tommy no she couldn't do that she couldn't listen and Jesse ends up dead I am really upset about that because I like Jesse🤬

Just imagine if the first season was through the perspective of Abby leading up to her father death. Joel would be the ultimate enemy and Abby actions would be justified because she only came n got the person she wanted. Season 3 gone change a lot of ppl minds and perspectives

Nothing can make me like Ellie. She has no redeemable qualities. I’ve been a fan of Abby since she killed Joel, even though I liked Joel. Let’s face it, he was an interesting character but he was a villain. Elie on the other hand doesn’t have layers to her like Joel did. She doesn’t care about anyone else, makes jokes out of everything, including Jesse finding out he will have a baby. Literally only cared about him “pretending to be surprised” about finding out. She’s not smart, nor does she care to learn, pretends she knows everything, even though it’s proved time and time again how wrong she is. The only reason she hasn’t died 10 times is because she’s immune and still continues to put others in danger. Nothing about her makes you want to root for her. Even her “journey of vengeance” is deeply flawed because instead of being in a “dark vengeful path” she’s frolicking around playing and joking, until she “remembers” what she’s there for. The writing for this season, with very few exceptions, warrants JAIL. Just the fact that Jesse, who is supposed to be so knowledgeable and strategic he was able to track them down MILES AWAY, just barged in through closed doors to face an unknown threat…. It’s CRIMINAL how badly written that was. I could go on but at this point I’m just aggravated and if I watch season 3 it’s just in the hope Abby puts three in Elie’s head.

Actually I’m not done! Two more things: when Elie was asking the dying pregnant lady what she meant with “transverse”…. MAYBE YOU SHOULD’VE SPENT LESS TIME READING JOKES AND MORE TIME READING A DICTIONARY… and 2-what is Tommy doing? Doesn’t this man have a whole SON to look out for????😤

I think you guys are too harsh on Ellie. In the game and the show she did not know that girl was pregnant. To say she has no redeeming qualities is weird too considering she’s a kid that grew up in an apocalypse. You can’t expect a certain humanity or moral compass one would have in a normal world because it never was a normal world for Ellie. She never meant to kill the pregnant lady and the remorse she felt afterwards I’m sure would show that she did not intend to kill her and would not have if she knew she was pregnant (game).

In the game Mel wasn’t visibly pregnant. Ellie treated her like a clicker, stabbing her multiple times. They made further along in the show which is more brutal and causes more of a moral dilemma.

The lesson here is about the cycle of violence though. This topic you have to be harsh to get the point across. This IS happening today. It’s been happening your entire life. There are kids who grow up in war zones or hoods and innocent people get caught in the crossfire ALL THE TIME! The entire point of making the story so dark is to cause the viewer to stop & think. Any individual can be justified in their revenge but the cost is simply not worth it. Intentional or not. Not for Abby, not for Ellie. Not for WLF or Scars

Your rant is pretty unreasonable. You want a 14-20 yo to read the dictionary for fun & know how to safely perform a c-section when that’s not even possible NOW?!? You’re also mad bc Ellie jokes around in certain situations but you haven’t read the DSM-5 regarding trauma responses & PTSD. Does that mean you’re not smart? Does it mean you’re uncaring/ unempathetic? Does it mean you take nothing seriously because you don’t read manuals/dictionaries for fun? There is a shortcut, a couple of therapists react to the show- it may provide more insight. These characters are supposed to be deeply flawed. That’s the entire point of the story. Ellie and Abby and Joel - even Tommy. Ellie’s not John Wick or Hannah or Black Widow. She’s not a trained assassin going in to kill only 5 people for Joel’s torture/murder (and her broken ribs). The entire point of a revenge plot is to show how many “innocent” people get caught in the crossfire. How much senseless violence there is. It’s war on a smaller scale. Also…. Abby was willing to take hostages in the beginning. And Manny was saying they’d have to kill the witnesses bc of Jackson being well fortified/capable. The ONLY reason she left Dina/Ellie alive is bc of Owen & Mel. And situationally she’d been able to lure Joel in. She’s not as redeemable as you assume. Plus she stays killing as unarmed Seraphites as Joel did. Everyone in Seattle shoots 1st and asks no questions.

Not gonna address the first two parts cause you just assumed a bunch of stuff about me and that’s on you, not me 🤷🏻‍♀️ I COMPLETELY agree that’s characters are deeply flawed and that’s how a show pulls you in, the human experience. The problem here is nothing about Elie makes the flaws worth it, blame the writers. I’m not alone in my criticism and the audience overwhelmingly agree this season was an overall step down from the first. But hey, agree to disagree!

re being done with Ellie - THIS is my problem with Season 2. There is no main character to root for here. Not Ellie. Not Abby. Ellie lying - she would have killed Owen and Mel. Maybe hesitated with Mel if she found out she was pregnant.

The opposite? Literally so many things are the same. Jessie still dies in the game the same exact way. Sure they could've had Ellie be more ruthless, does that transition better on tv? Not necessarily.

It was opposite because at then end of this season which is about 12-13 hours in game time most of us was still mad and wanted to kill everybody we came across in the game and we was still wondering why Addy kill Joel and wondering who he killed that was important to her 1st episode they told y abby wanted to kill Joel and that's mad people second guess everything she did then episode 2 they switched tommy with Dina and had the attack on Jackson which made tommy not care as much about wat happened to Joel Joel's death secondary to wat happened at Jackson and then episode 3 her going after Abby 3 months later and then they made ellie seem so stupid didn't know nothing about anything and made Dina seem way smarter and tuffer than ellie they could did 5 great episode and cut out all that wlf stuff most of the abby stuff

And for people like me that love tha game yes tha game would've transitions to tv better because all the people that didn't play tha game because of the leaks would've probably stuck around for a good story and people like me that play the game multiple times and love the game can see all the flaws in this season these ep and last ep was they only great episodes because it was like the game ( in my opinion )
