Idk I feel like there's sooo many episodes in this shows seasons that it leaves plenty of room for much needed character development. So when big things happen it hits harder because you've been through EVERYTHING with these people, boring or not. Just my opinion though.

In defense of Beth and other people who aren't physically intimidating or just ruthless in general - you have to also have people with good logic skills, analysis, planning, psychological warfare type stuff. So Beth headed more in that direction.

I think maybe y'all were confused right before they sawed off Joan's arm? They were going to give her anesthesia but she was fighting them wanting to die rather than be saved. The doc was going to force the pain meds but Dawn said 'she made her choice!" Dawn was punishing Joan by making her feel them sawing her arm off. Dawn is another level of horrible.

Idk if this is considered a *SPOILER* but if it is mods can delete it. Tv show Andrea was nothing like Comic Andrea. Comic Andrea got split up between 3 characters in the show: Carol, Sasha and Michonne. The only thing Beth got from Comic Andrea are the scars you see Beth get during this episode.
