Sara Tucker

Yall don’t know how happy I am yall posting twice today. 😅 thank youuuuu

Sierra Davis

This is one of my favorite episodes of season 5. The group looked so defeated. It was a new look for them, but they kept fighting. I love when they were holding the barn door together. That’s family right there! Daryl, Maggie and Sasha just going through. I love the scene when the rain started and everyone felt better in the moment except those three. They still have a ways to go. Great shots throughout this episode, especially when that big group of walkers was walking right behind them. Talk about exhausted.

Austin Hogan

The dogs mirror the group even wearing their collars symbolic representation of what both groups lost and Rick saw it

Shawanda

So happy for the update. Thanks 😊

Andrew R

Congratulations! You have just left TWD phase I and are entering phase II.

Sab

Maggie ,Sasha and Daryl broke my heart in this episode they're so hurt and I kept saying that they need to talk to each other because Glenn tried to talk to Maggie it didn't really work Abraham tried to talk to Sasha it didn't work even Gabriel try to talk to Maggie that really didn't go well but when they started talking to each other that's when I said they can start to heal a little bit because those three really new what the other one was feeling I feel so bad for the group they lost so much losing your loved ones or not easy it's really really hard to get over Andrea even though I couldn't stand her once said to Beth you never really get over it you just make room for it and I guess that's true you do even in real life I was crushed when my mother passed I really didn't know I was going to make it through that but I had my sisters and we made room for the pain and that's what Maggie Sasha and Daryl has to do for each other sometime this show can really be emotional make you think about certain things in your life when Maggie was telling Glenn she didn't think she wanted to go on Noah saying that he don't think he can make it. It's just sad. Them walking down that road hungry thirsty and tired man they were all so defeated I'm sorry I'm babbling anyway thanks for the episode guys I hope you guys do the next one soon ❤️

erin🦅

This really is the perfect walking dead episode. The talking and thinking about giving up throughout the episode and the whole group being at their worst, only for everyone to work together to keep the barn doors closed and work to stay alive… amazing.

Rindamarie

This is a very slow but sad episode. The group is worn down. But at least we didn't lose anyone. Aaron has entered the chat!

Jocelyn Johnson

I always wanna ask rick about that dog food he threw away while they're eating literal dog... lol

Truck

Fun fact: Daryl’s character really ate that worm

lily mccann

This is one of my favorites right here!

Acacia

Great reaction as always and love the twd series! 🫶🏽Brandon said his gpa was in Vietnam, does brother Brandon have some Asian in him? Or is this military we talking about

Crazy Taco

5:25 local weather man be like.

brandy.

He's definitely talking about the Vietnam War

Keke

Clayton Bigsby sounds like a baseball player’s name from the 1940s 😂. Or a detective 🕵🏾‍♀️.

brandy.

I love the character arc/growth episodes like this. The scene of the group one by one going to help daryl holding the door was one big metaphor about them keeping the walkers away TOGETHER - and also the darkness that comes from that fight. If you noticed the 3 struggling the most this episode (Daryl, Maggie, Sasha) were the first 3 going to support each other with the door. Great writing

Cleo Griffith

Aaron is he good or bad? And how does he know Rick's name? Look at TF banding together to lock out the herd. And this is the 1st we heard The Walking Dead mentioned in this show. You all pushing these out so fast I say by next week you all will be in S6.

Keke

I think the walker resembled Beth so that’s why it was hard for Maggie to do it too. Maybe this is a reach but that’s what I thought.

Cole hauser

I always felt Beth was like a little sister to Daryl. Him looking at the barn then burning himself with the cigarette to me felt like he was reminded of Beth from the barn and he punished and burned himself (like his father probably did) for letting Beth die regardless of if it was actually his fault or not. She gave him hope when there was none and now she’s gone and there is again no hope so he just broke for a bit. When the storm began their only hope was the barn in order to survive the storm and once ended a new face appeared. I would argue it’s one of the most real scenes with Daryl in the series.

EliG

This running out of food and water always perplexes me. One Super Walmart! One Costco. Come on. They everywhere!

EliG

But maybe roast the worm or something! It wriggling around in his stomach!

Harmony

Yay!💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾❤️

EliG

I think the woman was victim of something. Maybe a kidnapping and then was trapped in there. I think that was the trauma for Maggie. The world before and after - just brutal.

EliG

True. But dog is dog. Meat. Protein. The can was some processed something or another. Nasty! The dogs were fresh.

EliG

I loved "We are the walking dead." Some crazy crazy right there!

Tyrademi

Maggie en Sasha going through it. 😮‍💨 Rick and Glenn aging like fine wine.

Landon DuVall

Unpopular opinion: this is my favorite episode of the show. I struggle with depression and I think it's why this episode resonates with me. The lowest points for several characters and the group in the show, and the message to keep going.

ondraya

Hands down one of my favorite episodes of the show! It's so bleak, but the water, their near miss with the storm, the music box and this new person has an air of hopefulness.

Ginger Snaps

Ahhh Aaron!!! I’m so excited!!

Jess Tyrell

this season is a lil slow but mid 5 and all 6 is soooooo good yall

Avishai

OH THANK GOD WE MADE IT THROUGH THE SLOW PART OF THE SHOW! I've never been so happy to see Aaron

Avishai

Im not gonna lie, after all they been through, I would be more likely to trust Aaron. i mean they spent a night in a barn sheltering away from walkers and a tornado.

Blue

Good work from Adison and Clayton-Bigsby on this one 💙

Queen S

I agree with you too because it's obvious that girl was kidnapped and so was Beth

Gigi

This is probably the BEST season, I'm begging you guys to push these out every day hahaha luv ya'll!

courtney 🧚🏽‍♀️

sameeeeee. this episode is character HEAVY so if someone doesn’t like it i feel like they don’t like the characters that much and just want a zombie show, which this is not.

courtney 🧚🏽‍♀️

honestly, truly. rick’s always been fine but season 5 rick is top tier. same with glenn with his long hair whew they both fioneeeee lmao

Tyrademi

Facts!!! Rick his aura ..

nasa1230

they was just aura farming when they were walking

Fellerz

What's crazy is how hard it is for Maggie; she lost Hershel & Beth all in 1 week

Fellerz

Glenn was the only one in the group on his own the whole time since season 1. He had no family

Linna

“You’ll miss me when I’m gone Daryl Dixon” def played in my mind during that scene

10k eez

wish it would rain by the temptations is one of my favorite songs, wasnt expecting that reference at all lol

Zeke English

Brandon savouring his Powerade while they are talking about dying of thirst was diabolical

xxtccyunno

we slowly creepin up man , cheers onto the next

vanessa

i can’t wait for szn 6

Ashleigh

“Sic ‘em Rick” is CRAZYYY 🤣

Decolonial

Something To Fear...

Heavenly Demon

They said the thing . It only took 5 /6 seasons for it "The walking dead"

Ayaulym🇰🇿

Hey! When did they say that? I can't seem to find/remember it(

Ashleigh

lol right after they were meeting Aaron and talking about going to Alexandria, Adison said something like “and if all else fails BITE HIS NECK” and Brandon said “sic em rick”

Camillionaire

Murder jacket Rick/Post Terminus Rick is for the real. I truly understand his reticence about trusting anyone. Those deviant dudes that came for them and Terminus cannibalistic experience had Rick at a level of zero tolerance with anyone.

Miel

I'm sorry but if the lord was real the apocalypse wouldn't have happened at all😭

Constantdev

This when Sasha gets even more annoying and stays super annoying

Marcia

And this is the epsiode where I stopped watching the show so many years ago, it was just too depressing.

* The title of the episode, "Them", refers to Daryl's reply of "We ain't them" following Rick's speech at the barn. * Andrew Lincoln stated in one of his interviews after the episode has been broadcasted that the line is his favorite line of Rick Grimes. "When I read it, it reminded me of something that happened in my life when I spoke to someone in a fight. It almost had the same speech, so it resonated on a really, really profoundly, deep, familial level. I remember when I read it, I just cried. When I read the script I couldn't … because I always to tend to read my words out loud and I just couldn't. I got something caught in my throat when I read this speech. It's just a very bold episode and I hope we got it right," he told Entertainment Weekly. * The episode's exact runtime is 00:42:56. * As of this episode, Emily Kinney (Beth Greene) and Chad Coleman (Tyreese Williams) have been removed from the opening credits. * They are reinstated in S5EP13 "Forget" as flashback appearances. * On the wall of the barn the word "Wolves" can be seen written again, relating to the "Wolves not far" from the previous episode. * This is the first episode since S1EP1 "Guts" to feature heavy rain. Lauren Cohan and Seth Gilliam revealed on Talking Dead that the special effects crew had set up equipment to simulate rain during the scene on the highway, where the group discovered Aaron's gift of water, but a natural rainfall spontaneously began while they were shooting the scene, as if on cue. * Norman Reedus ate a real worm for his scene where Daryl eats a worm. * Several critics compared Aaron's introduction to that of an Other from the ABC television series, Lost. * Interestingly enough, The Others in Lostare also known as Them. * The brown shirt that Rick wears in this episode and the following two episodes could possibly be a reference to Shane, as he wears almost the identical shirt in Season 2. Although this could be a coincidence as it is not proven. * When the group is holding the door of the barn against the walkers during the storm, a piece of Hans Zimmer's soundtrack "528491" for the 2010 movie Inception is used as background music. * In the episode's final scene, Maggie leads Sasha to a small hill, where they watch the sun rise. This echoes Hershel drawing Rick's attention to the morning sun when they were back on the farm; a sight which Hershel had said, at the time, drew his thoughts to God. This callback, taken together with Maggie's actions in this season's final episode, suggests that it was in this episode that Maggie both lost, and eventually regained, her own faith.

Austin

* When the group is attempting to stop the walkers from getting in the barn there is a shot of Father Gabriel wearing his reverend collar even though earlier in the episode he is seen throwing it into the fire.
