Serenity La’sandra

WHYD U DO THIS TO ME?? I have to be up so early I can’t watch this rn ugh!!! While I’m getting ready for work, this gonna be playing 😭

Aleka

Me debating to take tomorrow off so I can stay up and watch this tonight 😂

Yaya

Ughh, y'all pumping out these episodes 😫😫😫 I'm so glad y'all on season 9. One of the best seasons since the earlier ones. Y'all better hold on😫😩 this season is 🔥🔥

Kristien

I love you guys

Kristien

I’m gonna keep it real I watched the show from season 1-11 since it started, I do I enjoy all the reactions videos, no spoilers!!!

Shaïna Joseph

This is an amazing season yall. Enjoy!!

ZZ

My favorite season

Kristien

No he was sixteen and Maggie should have never took boys out there, when there were a bunch of men that could have went in the 2 teenagers place!!! They were hurt because their son died!!!

MattyIce

The rest of this show and 4 more spin offs, the series will never die lol

ZA1NA

Ayy here we go

Caleb Weir

I understand Gregory did some horrific things but he deserved life in prison instead of death.Especially in front of children.Maggie was wrong.

GingerB

I love Brandon calling out the messed up ideology of planning for the community to be criminals. For sure, some people will go astray, but an antidote could be to invest in people and give them a sense of purpose. The sanctuary could be a school, a hospital, and so many other positive things that might be an investment in the more optimistic view Brandon was starting to talk about. Where’s the faith? I still love EDN though 🙂.

Stefanie Anderson

The guy @ the old Sanctuary that you recognized/said looked familiar is named Zach McGowan. He's most known in TV for playing Charles Vane in Black Sails, Jody in Shameless, King Roan of the Ice Nation in The 100, and Anton Ivanov/The Superior in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Recently, he's been features in The Boys and Gen V. He has been in a few films, most of which were straight to DVD, but he was in movies such as Dracula Untold (2014), The Brawler, The Scorpion King: Book of Souls, and Death Race: Beyond Anarchy (all 2018).

Jenny Lee Villanueva

I debated watching it first. But decided to watch now rested lol

Peter

Yeah Maggie does have some blame for letting Kal go out there but still Gregory has been had to get got and we finally got it on public display. Rest in piss.

Peter

Children need to be watched shouldn't have been able to just run out there like that. As for Gregory being a free man at all after the backstabbing he did that was their next mistake if y'all not gonna exile him put him in the cell next to Negan.

CodyG24

Man that 12 hr shift comment hits different for the last 3 weeks I've only worked 12 hr shifts and got more this week thats exactly how I feel 🤣

Pat McConnell

The way yall always mispronounce both vowels in Enid’s name kills me every time 😭

Peter

I give up with them I thought maybe they were doing it on purpose but nah.

connie

She told them to put the kids to bed literally before this scene. Whoever wasn't watching they kids are at fault. It's not Maggie fault folks on some Lori-level neglect.

Christian Perez

Not yall calling the Washington Monument the Pentagon. 😭 Adison was right tho, it's in DC!

Peter

Exactly the adults in this show don't know how to monitor children at all. Carl, Henry and all these others sneaking away all the time it's ridiculous.

Ashleigh

Not too much on Maggie now🙄

Eric

Here we go!!

Serenity La’sandra

Just give Maggie some patience yall.. If Rick didn’t want to kill him for his own reasons I think it’s valid but stopping Maggie especially from doing it is what’s messed up to me. I don’t think that’s a decision he had the right to make on his own when it’s affected that many people greatly!! Love Rick but this wasn’t just about him

Serenity La’sandra

I’m sure it’s feeling a lil different, the beginning of the season definitely is not my favorite but this season ends up being crazy and some amazing stuff to come

Patrick Saona

There’s an 18 month time jump between the end of season 8 and start of season 9

Iris D

Maggie is definitely in the right except for killing Greg like she did , she’s putting her foot down , Rick didn’t kill negan and he’s asking for more help from her? wth. And the kids that saw gregs death are the parents fault not Maggie.

Jacena

The intro, ravens and Gabriel is giving hella GOT 😂

Avishai

The complex thing is that Rick had reason and just due to kill Negan... But his journey and all he lost and did led him to not doing so. Maggie also had reason but she didnt get the same journey. The problem is that as a leader, Rick had the difficult final decision of whether or not to kill Negan. Unfortunately, sometimes, being a leader means making decisions where your people are not only unhappy, but not getting their justice. I agree with Rick and its unfortunate but Maggie has to fall in line on that... Daryl is in the same bag really.

Monica

Didn't they allow him to go out with the group.

A 🦋

I agree with y’all! It becomes a cycle. Vengeance has been the downfall of many people and also many groups. The Governor refused peace, refused to go on with his life after the fall of his community because he was consumed with vengeance after his initial actions were the reason for his downfall. Terminus could not resume their lives without savagery because they wanted their revenge on mankind due to a poor belief that all of humanity was to blame and deserved to suffer for the actions of a small few. Characters like Dale and Hershel were so important to the group, because they were merciful, and believed that people deserved life and a chance at community and forgiveness. Maggie and Daryl have lost sight of that. Our entire group actually. Daryl was speaking selfishly to Carol by disregarding the communities that Rick is trying to build. These are ALL your people now. Set rules and order in place. Build with them. It’s another example of how our group can be hypocritical. We have seen many moments where our group’s actions can be considered as savage as the groups they oppose. Rick and his group took over these communities…have no issue with taking from people because they believe they are entitled to it and try to rationalize it by believing it is a symptom of this new world. They have killed people with families. Everyone has lost someone..it is part of the world, but you can’t allow every action to be an evil reaction. If you want to have a healthy community for families and the future, you rise above evil. It’s completely lost to the audience, it seems, that Negan’s actions were a reaction to the initiative taken by our group. It was a wrong reaction, but a cycle that has been common. Those actions caused a domino of death on both sides. Everyone from Maggie down has to realize this is the end. You don’t kill to kill. Most people can change, and they deserve a chance to do so. Vengeance can not be the downfall of what we are trying to build which is a future. Those are the values that our group should have.

lola

gregory already got locked up before and he STILL got out and started shit he was spared for too long he deserved death at this point. also how are u blaming maggie for the kids seeing that when those kids shouldve been put to bed by their parents! thats so odd to think that maggie would just do that intentionally in front of kids

Shameka

I could not stand Maggie and sometimes Daryl these few early episodes of season 9.

Amber

Laughing from DC. That's the Washington Monument. It is indeed in DC. As is the White House, which is basically across the street from the Washington Monument. The Pentagon is in Alexandra, Virginia - just across the Potomac River from DC. When speaking about the region where DC, Virginia and Maryland come together - that's typically referred to as the DMV.

Athasin

Maggie's reason for wanting to kill Negan comes before Rick's reasons for wanting to kill Negan. And you know without a doubt if Negan bashed Michonne's head in instead of Glenn's Rick would be in the exact same spot Maggie is in, Carl too, forgiveness wouldn't have even been a concept for him, bite or no bite. Rick was wrong for doing what he did, he wasn't the person most hurt by Negan's actions, Negan wasn't *his* to spare.

Athasin

The Pentagon is called the Pentagon because it's shaped like a pentagon (5 sides), it's not a tower.

Athasin

Exactly, because what did Negan really do to Rick? Hurt his pride. Maggie lost the father of her child, her greatest protector, and the love of her life. And what kills me is, we **know** Rick is was extremely hypocritical by sparing Negan, because if Negan had done to Michonne or even Lori what he did to Glenn... nothing in a letter from Carl would've stopped him from ending him. He put a request from Carl over the justice due to people actually hurt by Negan, and that was just wrong.

Avishai

The only thing that makes that shaky is that we watched a whole season of Rick being unable to fight Negan and all the other characters got nowhere. As well as Maggie continued to hide and had no real plan to get even. So therefore, Rick's leadership was necessary. And as a leader, it is in his hands to make the best choice. I agree that she hasnt gotten her fair ending. But technically, that's what you sign up for when you agree to let someone led you. They might do what's best for the whole and not just you. And i also agree that obviously if it was the other way around, Rick woulda crashed out. But he also wouldnt have trusted anyone else to lead his charge to get revenge.

Kristien

No Maggie appointed him to go with the group, but he never been out and he was not skilled enough. Plus he wanted Ricks approval as well!!!!

Big Boy Jeff

fun fact a zebra kick will kill a lion, so yes that horse kick gotem up out there.

Latinblu

Adison: the guy who Daryl asked to paint the wall, is another cast member from The 100. Roan the Prince of Azgeda, the ice kingdom

Dee

Would love it if you guys reacted to Smallville. It's such a good show!

Linda

I agree with you about Maggie. I think she could be a good leader for Hilltop, but I also wonder how she became the leader. Was it simply because J (you know who I'm talking about) didn't want to be leader? There were other people who had been at Hilltop who could have stepped up. I feel Maggie bullied her way into the leadership role and I think she has some tunnel vision that is dangerous as a leader. She does not agree with Rick's vision and I feel she will not support him going forward. Loving these reactions!

Athasin

No, someone who shows zero remorse for trying to kill someone REPEATEDLY (because let's not forget he tried to give Maggie and Sascha to Simon when they were in the closest, and tried give Maggie to Negan after he lost Hillside, and now this)... someone you know will try again... they don't deserve to keep living in an apocalypse where every mouth to feed matters. Which is why Rick is wrong for keeping Negan alive.

Steven Ellis

Wait wait hold dup, Maggie is still with Rick it’s hard for her to defend the saviors after everything they took from our crew that’s all. Rick did tell her that he’s going to follow her after the war.

Kristien

I got it for you

Kristien

It’s 8pm on Sunday I’m praying on my knees hoping that the dead won’t come to eat me!!!!!!

Allure

Whew, this season is soooo good. Starts off a little slow but man does it kick up 🔥

nattyindi

Wait, how did she bully her way to the top? Gregory had zero respect for and from any of his people, they literally followed him *because* no other Hilltoppers stepped up.

Johnny R

Wait you gonna play ball on stream? Like on discord?

Rylee

Are you kidding HAHAHA Gregory was the slimiest POS

Cynn N.

I actually really love the beginning of Season 9 as a first time viewer only on 9x4. I like when the character dynamics and locations switch. Maggie might be overcome with vengeance but she did have to watch Glenn have his head bashed.

Serenity

I don't see how Maggie is disrespecting Rick at all. Rick's leadership got Maggie's entire family killed if we're crediting him for the journey. Rick is the one who kept forcing leadership onto her from S6 when she was working to keep peace with Deanna. He was the one who got her to speak with Gregory to negotiate a deal before we fought the saviors. Like Gregory said, Rick is her mentor. She does respect him and Rick told her in S8 "After this, I'm following you" and her repeating that isn't a big of a deal, considering she has been supplying the saviors with food while getting nothing in return simply because it's what Rick wants. IMO he betrayed her trust at the end of S8 by keeping Negan alive after telling her he was trying to kill Negan the day before. Rick is the GOAT and all but his arrogance knows no bound

Serenity

In S7 she helped fight off an attack from the saviors with the music in the car and the people of the hilltop recognized her and Sasha as leaders since then, because a lot of them are not fighters. Jesus probably could've won over her but he didn't run. Gregory called for an election, so she definitely didn't bully her way into leadership

Serenity

Maggie was the first person who said they needed to get ready to fight... she couldn't make a plan on her own, she was recovering from the issues with the baby and couldn't be seen after they told Negan she was dead. Rick wasn't the only one leading, it was a group effort and Maggie did just as much as Rick did in the war to help end it. Rick told Maggie to not come to the confrontation in 7x16, and she decided against it and helped save Alexandria with Ezekiel. There would really be no war without them. I don't think there's a reason why Ezekiel/Maggie wouldn't have a say

Rindamarie

Leaders lead, regardless of whether they hold a title or not. And people will follow a natural leader without even thinking about it. Gregory already had low respect from the people, and Maggie started helping the Hilltop people. They followed.

lola

but maggie and her family wouldnt have left the farm to begin with if it wasnt for ricks group tbh that herd was passing by until they heard that gunshot from carl which leads back to rick and shanes fight which also leads to all of ricks past decisions saving randall from that gate etc hell carl wouldnt be alive if it wasnt for hershel

EliG

They are in DC. (Original destination of our gang, but they ended up in Virginia.) Adison, the structure is the Washington Monument. Osafa - the Pentagon is in Arlington, VA, but that's just across the river facing DC. It does have a DC address. It's massive. No way could it fit in DC proper.

EliG

It's great how every community is represented in the DC field trip. All working together now. (Except for Saviors.). However, too much foolishness in DC. No need to walk on that glass for everything. Smaller items fit through the sides. But noooo., had to do the hard way. And for what? A bunch of relics? Build your own canoes and wagons! Though the seeds a good find. And that Walker bite ridiculous. One Walker and our gang just froze and let the kid get bit? Come on!

A. P.

Dang bruh I used to really rock wit Maggie she seem so corny now. It's not even about the leadership thing it's just the attitude like you done forgot everything Rick nem done for you. Dope season premiere though, almost feel like a whole new series fr

A. P.

But he made that decision BECAUSE it affects so many people. It's a leaders job to recognize when a decision has the potential to set their people on a better path and weigh the potential opportunity cost. They're thinking that ending the war was everyone's way of starting over and starting over has to mean something otherwise you're bound to walk into more of the same. I equate it to what goes down in the streets, your ops might take one of your people then they get caught and sent up for life. You might wish you could've had the chance to cut they lights out, but the "law" prevailed and that law is there for the great of the collective & to maintain community. There will always be an opportunity to for get-back to be had, but an opportunity to do the harder thing and show people a new way forward is rare. That being said, if it were me in Maggie's shoes me and Darryl sneaking into Alexandria to handle that and heading right on back to Hilltop to act like we was there the whole time.

EliG

Yeah, am tired of Rick's arrogance. It's getting annoying. Darryl right. They still giving their stuff to the Saviors, as they did when Negan led the group. Why we gotta save the Saviors? Maybe they could integrate the regular folk into the communities, but not the hardcore Saviors.

EliG

Hilltop - death penalty state. Yikes. Alexandria - life in prison.

Serenity

I’m not saying it’s his fault but they credited Rick for Maggie’s journey which isn’t fair in the sense that she’s obligated to do everything he says, she has her own community now & also there’s no way of knowing that how long they would’ve survived. Rick helped lead the walkers to the farm as well

Athasin

He wasn't 16 he was over 20 years old, because his father was sober for over 20 years but was still drinking when he was born.

Kristien

That boy was 16 on the show but in his 20s in real life

Linda

I don't think Gregory should have been the leader at all, but I also think it was presumptuous of Maggie to step in to the leadership role as quickly as she did. I do believe J would have taken the role and been able to lead the Hilltop in a peaceful and respectful way. If you think of it, Maggie assumed leadership of Hilltop much more quickly than Rick did in Alexandria. She didn't know the people of Hilltop and they didn't know her. Perhaps that makes the people of Hilltop a bunch of sheep who are willing to be led by anyone, good or bad.

Ash Lee Can

That wasn't Rick's decision to make..

Ash Lee Can

He also promised her that they were gonna kill Negan l and reneged on that promise without even TALKING to her about it. He took her justice from her. You can't take the justice that's owed to me away and expect us to still be cool. He betrayed Maggie...

Avishai

At the end of the day, everyone shot bullets and everyone said they need to fight. But it was Rick who needed to be turned around for any kind of "war" to start. Therefore the beginning of the "war" and therefore, the end of the "war" is up to him. I agree that he made a choice for her when she has an arguably bigger gripe with him. I agree that her, Daryl, and a lot of others were robbed of a fair ending. But they agreed to that when they let Rick lead. Im sorry but leadership doesnt work like that. You can't take matters in your own hands when you disagree and sit back and support when you do. Now if Maggie wanted Rick out of leadership and she voiced that and made moves for that, i can rock with that. But the cherry picking and plotting is how we get chaos.

Cleo Griffith

Yeah but sooner or later another group would have found them and wipe them out. Just like what Randall said his group did to the father and daughters.

shemeka_blackscorpion

The guy that Daryl told to paint over whatever they wrote is king roan from the 100.. Clark's "friend" lol im saying that cause clark kept calling him her friend no matter how many times they betrayed each other

Ash Lee Can

I mean, Maggie has every right to feel betrayed...

Shennon

He is now on Gen V playing Dogknott

shemeka_blackscorpion

@z yeah hershel nem definitely wouldn't have made it as far as they did if Rick nem had never showed up... as we can already see people are worst then the walkers... if some bad people that thought like the governor or negan, hershel and his family would've been killed because they didn't become fighters until Rick nem came... walkers would've eventually showed up too... hershel nem wasn't prepared to cross paths with evil people or a hoard so they were very lucky Rick nem showed up at the farm but through and through i don't agree with Rick forcing the saviors down Maggie's throat and constantly asking for things from maggie who's trying to make sure her people are good but gets almost nothing in return... Rick went back on his word with maggie about killing negan but when the time came he decided to save him just so negan can see how they can all work together and now she's being asked to provide food for negans people knowing they all set back and watched and laughed/smiled when her husband was getting his head bashed in

Cleo Griffith

Welcome to S9. We even got a new intro scene. Rick and Michonne is happy Alexandria is thriving, what could possibly go wrong?

Nae

Maggie is still grieving 😩 give her a inch

Rockstar818

A platypus in a tuxedo? *dawns fedora* PERRY THE PLATYPUS IN A TUXEDO?!

Rockstar818

D.C is a District kinda in Virginia, kinda in Maryland, kinda in another state. It’s never been it’s own “state”. But theres basically a city inside its borders of the district, plus most of the main government.

Ginger Snaps

Isn’t that Black Tom from Deadpool lol.. when they get sent to the ice box

Ashleigh

Alexandria is in VA. When folks say DMV, they are saying "DC, Maryland, NOVA or Northern VA" . I live in NOVA and work in DC and we are basically "cousins" up in the north. Southern VA (where I am originally from) is a totally different thing.

VirgosGrooveXO

You probably recognize him from the 100

Sherry Bandito

Poor Ken. My grandmother lost a brother when he was 16 because he was kicked by a horse .. good riddance Gregory

V. Hammer

Damn you really must not have liked your great uncle Greg!

Ruben Diaz Jr

When Daryl was referring to the small group they had in the beginning that could do anything he wasn't referring to the group they had that was unable to defeat Negan. He was referring to the prison group – Rick, Lori, Carl, Daryl, Carol, Glenn, Maggie, T-Dog, Big H and Beth. That small group that was able to clear the entire prison of walkers. And y'know what? Daryl was right. They COULD do anything and that was right. And that small group will always hold a special place in my heart 🥲❤️

Shaly Davenport

Virginia and DC are right up against each other, separated by the Potomac, and the pentagon is just across the river from DC, and the national monument is in DC

Dani D

D.C. in the commentsssssss!!

The_Paige_Master

“Carol can do anything” yes you’re damn right lol

Austin Dufraimont

Finally gave in to the patreon. Didn't want to wait for season 9 on youtube HAHA

Trev

they got me too haha

Jen Bee

Here I am, dropping a late to the game appreciation comment again 😂 I’m with y’all on Maggie, she stays griping the hell out of me for a bit

Jen Bee

Also I really liked that discussion about sort of prison “messaging” at the end. Some very thoughtful dialogue, guys 💜

Nessa _

A horses kick is powerful and can even kill another horse from one single blow. Do not mess around with prey animals remember they've had that heat on em from the beginning of time. 😂

TheMelodicRage

I recognized him immediately lol he was one of my favorite side characters

BojacksReacts

And Rick isn’t after losing his son? Yet still can be mature enough to spare lives

BojacksReacts

Maggie just isn’t mature, that’s clear. Rick lost his first born son that he brought into this world, she lost a love she met along the way. There’s levels to it. One is knowing for 18 years the other barely what 3? Fuck that noise. Yes Rick should’ve discussed it with them, but there was no time for that. Saviors lost, negan was humiliated, death is too easy anyways. She need to grow up or step down from leading

BojacksReacts

And then that herd that came still Wipes them out? Your point? And people knew about the farm, it was literally only a matter of time. Rick is the easiest to blame but not the sole reason nor the highest factor

BojacksReacts

Maggie loses the father of her child she’s known a few years, Rick loses a son he’s raised for 18 years. Yeah let’s compare. Use a real excuse please

HanjiO

Negan didn't kill Carl nor did he play any part in his death, so that makes it considerably easier for Rick to spare his life lol
