See the thing is with addicts, especially ones with Nicks preferences, you cannot go cold turkey. Maybe if you were in a proper facility but by yourself at home? It can be deadly. It’s rough on your body, the withdrawals and doing it at home, with no way of easing it, especially in a zombie apocalypse? There’s no way. They’re I think giving him a lil too much wiggle room with it, but he has to at least take a little bit and gradually get off it. We saw that already when Alycia was trying to leave and his moment on the floor. It would be like that

I can tell you from past experience, Madison is doing the right thing tryna taper Nick off of opiates. You don't want someone going through severe withdrawals in the apocalypse. He wouldn't be able to do nothing but sleep and throw up for at least a week.

The reason that everyone is so confused and doesn't know what to do because in this world, the zombie apocalypse was never a thought, it was never considered, it was never used as an entertainment piece. It was all completely new to them

The idea behind having your ammo stored away from your gun is that you know where your stuff is. That way, if a kid gets ahold of one, they're less likely to find the other. And they envision that you have an alarm system for intruders, so after it triggers you grab your gun, then you know where the ammo is, but they both should be away from the intrusion point.

None of this is to excuse them, cuz they definitely are sorry 🤣🤣. But to be fair when comparing them to Rick and especially Carol, you gotta remember this show is the VERY beginning of the outbreak (like maybe day 2?). Nobody is expecting zombies to casually walk around the place while even just the idea of a zombie doesn't even exist in this universe. Rick woke up in the middle of the outbreak and he also took some time to adjust after Morgan updated him on the situation. As for Carol, she definitely took a long time to get the point where she is now (Like up until after they found her dead daughter). So there may be hope yet for Travis and his son 👍

I only lost in monopoly like 3 times when I was younger.. the best thing to buy is mediterranean and Baltic place their the cheapest and easiest to get a hotel plus u stop people from collecting 200 if they land on your place then buy the rest of the city pass go and u win every time

I think it's generally meant to emphasize how disconnected Nick is from the "normal" way of living, so much so that he doesn't even care to change his clothes because aesthetics are meaningless to him.

The plane that Nick saw had its own spin off little tie-in webisode. If I remember correctly during each commercial break there was a little video that showed several characters board a plane headed for LA just as the airports are shutting down. It was also said that one of those characters were going to appear in the second season. It was called FTW: 462. The main show also had its own webisodes where you’d find out the backstory to the female half zombie Rick saw on his way home in the pilot, the “Don’t Dead Open Inside”, and a couple other loosely tied stories to the main show.

I have no time for Travis' nonsense. I'm gonna post this here cause You've finished the season but SPOILERS for S1 for anyone who's not seen it. He fails at every turn trying to preserve his internal sense of being a "good man" that's a nice ideal to have when your people are safe, when they're in immediate danger it's nothing but a delusional weakness. First of all, no matter the circumstances in a time of great civil unrest or natural disasters people are the biggest danger. your first course of action needs to be getting away from major cities. Until things calm a bit people will be the biggest threat to your and your families safety. Travis is a fool for thinking they could stay a night and be fine. Second of all, he's an English teacher so presumably he is well read and knows that in all of history a government has never prioritized the well-being of its citizens in a time of major turmoil. the military is not there to help they are there to contain. don't believe them when they tell you anything otherwise. they are a branch of the government. Travis is so preoccupied trying to be "good" he puts the people who's safety he is responsible for in harms way. I genuinely had hope for him in the first two episodes but after that he is a liability every single time and yet acts like he's in charge. I think his biggest issue is that he is a man of ideals who's never had his ideals tested. Now when the rubber hits the road he freezes. That's fine when you're on your own but when people depend on you you need to be adaptable. you can take time to freak out later but for the time being, compartmentalize, ignore and override until your people are safe.
