This is my least favorite era of Michonne. She’s my favorite character but she was just interestingly written after the time jump. I get what they were trying to achieve but it was just exhausting watching her act the way she did.

To answer your question about Maggie, the actress who plays her, Lauren Cohan decided to leave the show around the same time as Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes). Tbh though I think her departure was overshadowed by Andrew's announcement about him leaving the show. Lauren Cohan spoke up about a salary dispute as she felt she wasn't paid equally as her male co-stars and when she respectfully asked for a raise, they shut her down so she made the difficult choice to say goodbye to Maggie. EDIT: I forgot to mention that she also left because she was cast as a lead in a show called, "Whiskey Cavalier". Unfortunately it got cancelled

I completely understand the reasoning behind her demeanor. After everything she went through it makes sense logically. But even in the darkest points of her story, Michonne always had this spark, a quiet strength mixed with warmth and humanity that made her so compelling. After the time jump, it felt like that nuance was lost. I don’t think the issue is her becoming hardened, that totally makes sense. It’s that we didn’t get enough time to actually see the layers of who she became in totality. The show told us she’d changed in one way, but it briefly showed us the complexity behind it. With such a huge cast, her story got trimmed down to fragments, and those fragments made her feel like a shell of the woman we’d followed for years. Although I still love Michonne, I just wish the writing had given us a fuller, more balanced picture of her evolution. I don’t think it’s wrong to want more depth from a character like Michonne. She’s one of the most layered people in the entire show, and it just felt like they could have given her more room to be her. Wish the writing had honored her complexity and let us see the full depth of who she was after everything.

Guys - Jesus is a common name in Spanish-speaking communities. Nothing wrong with that IMO. There are many Mohammeds too. A sign of respect, not disrespect. Nobody thinking they really Jesus. In TWD, he's called Jesus cuz he looks like the traditional Anglo American depiction of Jesus. That's all. No one claiming Paul Monroe can perform miracles.

Maggie's with the HR lady - Georgie. I think this is the time when the actress was in another show - it didn't make it was canceled after 1 season.

I forgot to mention Michonne's X scar last episode and now in this episode we see Daryl have one. So who else have an X scar and why do they have it? And we've met Daryl's dog, who he named Dog lol, that is so Daryl. Dog's real name is Seven and he passed last year I think so R.I.P. to Seven. I'm not going to lie, I don't really like this new group. And Magna had better watch it because Michonne will wipe the floor with her. BTW the Abraham actor Micheal Cutlitz directed this episode.

I respectfully disagree. I feel like Michonne spent so much time being Rick’s anchor and mellowing out his rage because she was in such a good place,.. focusing on rebuilding and thriving instead of just surviving. However when Rick disappeared and she had that child alone … then the following events that haven’t been shown yet occurred… idk I just feel like even then best of us would go into protection mode. Plus we already know from Michonne’s past that she’s capable of shutting down when she’s in pain. This is what that looks like now. As she’s now a mother of two she can’t just isolate herself like how Andrea found her. But she can isolate her community. Michonne is a powerhouse, and like you said she’s very nuanced and complex so I think this arc actually enhances that instead of stifling it as you suggested.

Adison must have forgotten how David defeated Goliath. Slingshots were the original gun and bullets. Youtube has some videos of present day people using them. Highly recommend if you doubt the damage a slingshot can do.
