Taking my breath because trying to speak up for Sansa tires me out. But let’s use our brains and understand why she would’ve sided or try not to take sides with that argument, it’s the darn king. And also even if she had told the truth, a truth that doesn’t favor the prince, they still would’ve hurt her wolf. It’s not fair what happens to lady regardless but why would have telling the truth saved lady if doesnt.

I love you guys reaction so much but I can barely hear you. Guys please turn your down up the volume of the show and lower the microphones we can barely hear the dialogue and you guys miss a lot it can help a lot for you and to Addison to catch things you missed last time. Love the dialogue but it too loud and defeats the purpose of your true reaction.

Addison, you're missing a lot of clues/subtle things said that you guys missed the first time around. When Cersei visits Lady Stark in Bran's room, she tells a story of her firstborn son who had black hair. He died from an illness at a young age. This is a cookie crumb for a later storyline.

There is no defending early seasons Sansa. She is a brat and gullible as hell. All she cares about is some child fantasy of a love story with her “perfect” prince. There’s nothing to defend there. She’s a child. Aryas younger than her same with Bran but both are much wiser than her. Sansa deserves the hate she gets 1000%

She is a child though, raised in stories of noble princes and gallant knights. She’s the oldest daughter of one the highest lords of the seven kingdoms and is raised to be a high lady,so why shouldn’t those be the things she dreams of. Arya wants different things and that’s great they’re two different people. Sansa has been sheltered all her life and she was raised by good people nit expecting people to be cruel and manipulative. Everyone loves to talk about the hardships and disadvantages women were facing during this time period and the roles they were forced to play and the y’all crucify the girl for being ok and happy with that role. It sucks and can be annoying and extremely frustrating I get that, but not understanding her character at all and completely writing her off is unfair in my opinion

You’re missing some key context here. Sansa didn’t grow up in the same world Arya did, even if they shared a roof. Arya spent her days running around with stablehands and sword fighters, seeing the rough edges of life up close. Sansa, on the other hand, was raised to exist in high society, surrounded by ladies, septas, and courtiers. Her entire upbringing was about manners, politics, and presentation because as the first daughter of a noble house, that was her duty. She wasn’t encouraged to question that system; she was trained to believe in it. Calling her “a brat” for believing in the ideals she was literally taught to uphold isn’t fair. Arya got to rebel, Sansa didn’t have that luxury. It’s easy to look wise when you’re allowed to run free and ignore etiquette. But the standards for the heir’s sister and the first daughter were completely different, and that shaped their worldviews. And about the “betrayal” over the Joffrey–Arya incident, Sansa wasn’t siding against her family. She was trying to stay neutral and keep peace between her betrothed and her kin. That’s not treachery; that’s diplomacy. She was a kid doing what she thought was the safest and most proper thing in a political minefield run by adults like Cersei and Robert who should’ve known better. The double standard is pretty clear, too. Arya and Bran both act spoiled and reckless, but people frame it as “spirited” or “brave.” Sansa shows her immaturity through traditionally feminine traits, romantic ideals, politeness, a desire to please, and suddenly she’s unbearable. It’s not about who’s more childish; it’s about which kind of childishness we choose to sympathize with.

Everything you said and I second it, I have to make this argument under every single GOT reaction I watch and I’m tired arguing with people who are so quick to write Sansa off without even trying to understand her character. Like you cannot like her but I can’t stand the mischaracterization of her, and I feel a lot of her hate stems from early seasons and this scenario and she just ends up being deeply misunderstood. So thank you for typing it all out in a more concise way than I could stomach at the moment

People see her childishness and romantic ideals and immediately dismiss her as shallow or foolish, when in truth she’s behaving exactly as she was raised to. She spent time with commoners, witnessed hardship, and had the space to form her own perspective. That exposure shaped the difference between them. Sansa never had that room to breathe. Arya was indulged in ways Sansa never was, and that isn’t a flaw in Sansa’s character, it’s a reflection of the roles their society forced them into.

This brought a tear to my eye, I have been SCREAMING this from the rooftops for years now. Even the first time I ever watched game of thrones I understood why Sansa did what she did and why they would have been different and I remember arguing with the person who first introduced me to GOT because they couldn’t believe I wasn’t mad at her. Anyways that’s my girl and I’m gonna stick beside her, and justice for lady😭 lady didn’t bite anyone she’s good, breaks my heart every time. People are getting to a point where they start villainizing or treating female characters as shallow or stupid or less than just because they like typically feminine things and Sansa is a huge example. Her and Arya are both valid in what they want their dreams to be even though they’re drastically different.

To be honest, that was my initial thought at first BUT I’ve changed my mind after a couple of videos. James, Vonn & Osafa are so locked in, they’re catching things that Adison & Brandon missed or didn’t call out during their 1st watch. I’ve been really enjoying their point of view a lot!

@Everyday Negroes I do not mind the talking. I think its the volume of your microphones overpowering the audio of the show. When all four of you are speaking at the same time viewers cannot hear the show audio. The lack of subtitles from the show, effects our knowledge of what the characters in the show are saying because at times the volume from all four of you is very loud. If there was a proper balance from the audio of the show to the volume of your microphones there would be no need to comment on this matter. A solution to this would be having visible subtitles from the show displayed, that way even if you all are speaking simultaneously, your viewers could still know what the characters in the show are saying. Again, this is not a complaint because of your commentary during the show, I subscribe to your Patreon because I enjoy the commentary. It is merely constructive opinion. If you aren't going to pause the show each time all of you want to comment on something you've seen, it would be nice to have visual subtitles from the Game of Thrones show so viewers could follow along, not only with what each of you are saying, but with what is being said on the show.
