I think you should tell them and expand on things that happen in the show. For example, they mentioned Stannis and that he’s Bobby’s brother. At that point, it’s not a spoiler to let them know about it. The show has already said it. If they miss something, you should pause and fill them in.

Hi guys! I'm late on this one, but it's worth mentioning - Jamie's man probably stabbed Ned at the end because he knew Jamie would kill Ned in a 1v1, but Jamie *wouldn't* kill Ned if Ned was already wounded. By stabbing Ned, the Lannister fighter actually kept the whole thing from escalating even further. If Jamie Lannister (eldest son and heir of the Warden of the West, brother to the Queen, one of the top 2 fighters in Westeros, the youngest Kingsguard ever knighted, the Slayer of the Mad King, and 2nd Commander of the Armies of the West) killed Ned Stark (Warden of the North, literally a walking national tragedy, the most honorable man alive, leader of the largest of the 7 kingdoms, SIL to the Lord of the Riverlands, BIL to the Lord of the Vale, and best friend and hand to the King) in the streets of King's Landing, the entire continent would have been on fire before dusk that day. By stabbing Ned, that Lannister soldier bought time for everyone still breathing in the 7 Kingdoms.

Nah. He stabbed Ned because he was feeling a certain way and thought he was helping. For a mere soldier to be thinking like that....is incredibly improbable.

You're right. A mere soldier wouldn't have thought that way. But an elite member of Jamie and Cersei's personal guard would have trained under Tywin for years, and would have been with them at court day and night. He would know the consequences of Jamie's recklessness, and he would have heard repeatedly that "Lannisters don't act like fools." I'm sure he did think he was helping, but he thought he was helping by preventing war.
