I dont know if y'all caught it but when Carol is hallucinating Alpha talking...the words she's hearing are things Lizzie, Ed, Mika said when they when they were alive. Carol's PTSD forces her to hear these things on loop.

No one on this show was as tortured as Carol, I mean my God she lost every child She connected with, And I honestly do think she blames herself for most of them if not all of them dying, It sucks losing a partner, Or a parent or brother or sister? But losing a child is on a whole another level, there is a saying that someone that losers their husband Or wife is a widow, when children lose a parent they are an orphan, But there is no name for a parent who has lost a child, because it's just indescribable unimaginable

When Alpha mocks her "please don't be mad at me" " are you mad at me?" is a mocking playback of the words Lizzie said to her. 💔 // "Do you hear me you empty headed slit" and "you stupid cooze" are a mental playback of things Carols husband use to say to her. //After that Alpha says less mockingly but in a childlike tone "my mama use to say; everything works out the way it was suppose to" those were the words Mika said to Carol 💔
