Just to help you guys understand the concept of bastards in this world, they have no rights to inheritance AT ALL. This is one reason why Jon was so haunted by the word in season one. Hence Tyrion telling him to use it as armor. The only way Jon would be able to inherit Winterfell if something happened to Robb is if Ned or Robert (before their deaths) had declared him a “lawful son”, which would change his name to Jon Stark; and even if he became Jon Stark, Bran would have the stronger claim after Robb, it would be based on who the people chose at that point. Same thing with Gendry, he can’t inherit anything, not even the name Baratheon, so he definitely cannot inherit the iron throne. Westeros favors what they call “natural born children”. Winterfell is built over natural hot springs. The heat is channeled up through the walls and chambers to help heat it. In the books, more than one character has thoughts or conversations about how warm it is, there's even a year round greenhouse. The hot springs is also the reason that Hodor is naked in one scene from season 1. He was taking a bath in the hot spring. He refused to take one indoors.

Guys, Renly is closing his eyes and acting like his skin is crawling because Margaery kissing & touching him is disgusting to him. It’s his duty to create and heir though so he is trying his hardest to “suffer through”. Imagine yourself as a straight male being basically forcefully seduced by a man for the good of the kingdom. Probably could have went a lil more in depth with Theon and Starks around 20-21 min mark. Theon is torn too because Ned and his sons didn’t really treat dude bad and damn near took him in as one of them…that’s the vibe you got from the beginning until it was explained dude is actually a POW lol

Excusing homophobic rhetoric as a byproduct of being raised in “traditional homes”, and further expressions of “faith” based discomfort in reaction to benign images of same sex interactions, is not something I have to respect.
