That last scene - I always think, that was definitely written by a man. Because women who are almost SA'd or killed by a stalker would not then immediately behave that way. Think of that quote from Shae to Tyrion in Game of Thrones. Where she gives him that reality check.

If she would have called the cops when she shot him in the stomach then she would have been fine. But with that head shot she probably would have been charged for murder, because after the first shot she was tactically safe, so it was no longer self defense.

So happy to see you guys back on this! Btw, as odd as he is, Chucky is one of my favorite side characters. I watched this as it aired when I was in high school and still find myself saying "I do not accept this!" thinking of Chucky lol. It's so interesting to see the relationships between people and gangs grow and evolve over the seasons.

I'm pretty sure you're thinking about Maximum Overdrive, a Stephen King movie where all mechanical equipment comes to life and a group of people are held hostage by trucks at a truck stop. The main truck had a goblin face on the grill. It's a cheasy movie and considered one of King's worst by a lot of people, but I loved it as a kid and still think fondly of it.

Just a small correction jack wasn't willing to call the police first the club wouldn't trust nor respect him and he knew what needed to be done he just had to explain it to her so she would understand yeah we can call the cops you won't get in he would be free in a few years and come back she said we can't do this again and he was like exactly also yeah this is Jax first kill he has been avoiding it all season he didn't want to do it

everyone reacts to trauma differently. she wanted to feel safe & protected and she got that through being intimate with jax.

tara called him because she didn’t trust the police. she wasn’t consciously calling him for him to clean up her mess. she was panicking and didn’t know what to do. all she knew was that she trusted jax and he would protect her. i don’t think she thought past that. maybe subconsciously she did bc she knew he would protect her but i don’t think she wanted him to do that. she didn’t know what to do or how to handle it but she knew that jax would.

That's fair But I guess the writing leading up to that scene and during the scene itself did not convince me that she/her character would do that. The way it was filmed/written made it seem (at least to me) more like a male fantasy or something. Particularly with the dead body still being there/in that room. I think they needed to convince us more as the audience - but maybe the goal of the scene was to surprise/shock us a bit rather than convince us. Not sure.

Oh Adison.... Smh .... As a survivor of DV and partner Ab*$' that comment about after he backhands you was.... Mmmm.... Yea.... It's not love that makes a woman stay ... It's fear.... For example look what Kohn did in this episode .... Prime example of why most women don't leave .... They're afraid leaving will push their partner to the breaking point and then it's their life that's the cost ...

As someone who’s gone through what Tara went through- I completely agree with this. I couldn’t even kiss my now husband (then boyfriend) without going into a full blown panic attack accompanied with sobbing. I don’t find it realistic at all that they wrote that in. Someone else might have a different experience, but it’s definitely not a common one. I personally don’t know a survivor who would’ve been so comfortable to get se*ually active so quickly.
