I think AI is definitely more harmful than useful, but it doesn't need to be. Like ya'll said, it's just another tool but unfortunately the human condition likes to use tools to extend our capacity for evil. Like, AI could be taking over menial labor jobs giving us more free time to pursue the arts and leisure, but instead it's being used to take over arts and leisure so we have to do more menial labor. Furthermore, I think it extends too far into the nature of playing God. We all know that Satan can't create anything, he can only corrupt and change what has already been created. Doesn't that sound like *exactly* what AI already is? Generative AI doesn't create anything new, it just takes what's already been created and twists it. I firmly believe that when the Anti-Christ rises up, AI is going to be one of its tools. Revelation says that an image of the Beast was projected for the whole world to see, and that it killed anyone that disagreed or rebelled against it. I think that could refer to an AI controlled statue or robot or something along those lines. We're not too far off from that sort of technology right now.

I appreciate some of the openness to understand that inherently AI is not bad, it’s how it’s used. Not everyone is evil, high, removing themselves from society, etc. when using AI tools. People have said this abt many technological advances over the years including social media and the internet. People who want to do bad will and those who don’t, won’t.

But I will say, tools can also harm unintentionally when OVERused. That’s with anything. Too much of anything can be detrimental to your health eventually. Use with caution in other words.

Loving these Black Mirror episodes. Amazing show, the last couple of seasons were not AS good as the beginning but still thought provoking and interesting. I know which episode B3 is talking abt and yes that one was wild but there are so many more good ones. Would love to see you all react to some of the earlier ones even if it’s a rewatch. Not ep.1 of Season 1 tho, it was a drag.
