I will admit the main character plot armor was hitting HARD this episode. Granted the soldiers were wearing masks which is why Rick didn’t get bitten but to pull all of that off and survive…seriously 🤣🤣🤣 but I really needed to get that happy family reunion at the end…so I forgave it 🥹🥹😅😅

Well Osafa might be an Atheist but I doubt it. He might just be less public about his religion. And yeah, I think they weren’t expecting a love story. This was written that way intentionally, and to wrap up the story of their characters. A love story with a zombie backdrop. ♥️ 🧟‍♂️ ✨

The last couple seasons of Fear are… imo very yikes too. Dead city made me dislike a previously likeable female character. And it made another character a little too honorable to the point they lost their “spicyness”/individuality. Still worth watching if you are a big fan of TWD universe in general. Love all of the Daryl Dixon show I agree! Especially season one.

Rick and Michonne didn't take out the ENTIRE Civic Republic Military; they took out the Frontliners and leadership that consisted of a couple thousand bodies. The rest of the entire CRM is still stationed in Philly along with whatever squadrons and troops they have lurking around the country AND globally. Remember, Beale said they have embeds worldwide. This aspect of the TWD isn't gone or over. If Gimple and TPTB want to continue CRM related plots it's still open. And while I agree that this should have been a 7 to 8 eps season; my understanding for the truncated ending was due to Covid, Writers Strike and Actors Strike that all occurred during production and delayed production in some shape or form. Unfortunate, but it is what it is. Personally, knowing that Rick and Michonne made it back to Alexandria (with supplies and aid) and that RJ finally got to meet his father and Rick his other son was enough for me. @EveryDayNegroes and Adison and Co., thank you for these reactions! I wanted to like FTWD but didn't care for the characters; when they introduced Morgan I stuck it out, but I just found the plotlines unpalatable. In the it became all about Daniel and Skidmark for me. 😸

RICHONNE! Yeah, it's fan service, but overall, I was very satisfied with the limited series. Rick smoldered throughout the episodes. I enjoyed sending him with his old swagger in the last episode. I think I read that they filmed an alternate ending with Rick, Michonne, Judith, and RJ simply having a picnic by the lake. But I like seeing their reunion despite the cheesiness. Judith looks so much like Lori! They selected the actress well. Beale said there are outposts around the world with agents. There is an open door for more CRM stories.

I've been so bored with it I couldn't even watch the s1 finale. I think it's clear I have TWD fatigue now, the main series far overstayed it's welcome imo bc the plots declined hard after the Negan and Alpha arcs.

How could it not have been mentally taxing on him? And if all that wasn't enough, he's carrying the trauma of the bridge and the subsequent 7 years of captivity. There is SO much character development and story layered in TOWL, but all the stans care about is CRM action and the believability of Rick and Michonne taking out the CRM.

With Ty not really, he only knew them (based on their official timeline) ~7 months when that happened. I’d say that because the emotion, the acting, and the way the scene was written was exponentially better than “ I believed 🤓”. Andy, Danai & Cailey were spectacular! They just didn’t develop RJ whatsoever when we had him in the main series so we had little to no ties or connection to the character when this monumental moment was to be taking place

I always thought Thorne's emotional overaction when Rick returned after he and Okafor was shot down was hilarious. As much attitude as she gave him she was acting like he was her soul mate.

Thing is Rick's people weren't giving up on him and actually had a fighting chance since they were still in the same country. She was also never a good person if she could hear Beal's plan and be all in. Okafor said to swear on the sword but don't let it take. She either ignored or didn't get that instruction.

Besides seeing Rick in CRM military gear I melt at the final scene in episode 4 when their driving off in the yellow truck. Rick's blue eyes with the sparkle and that smile gets me every time.

36:55 we get to see the return of "PPP" on the whiteboard behind her "PPP Exception" you will see a card that says PPP that pops up in TWD universe which as to do with the CRM. Last time we seen it was when we lost Health which confirms Jadis kidnapped him and traded him for supplies since we see the 3 ring symbols on the canned applesauce when she was eating it and the gear in the storage container plus we seen the RV and Heli-pad back at the Junkyard in season 7
