I used to point this out a lot when the show was airing, and people would respond, “That’s just the way it was back then.” Back when? This is a completely made up universe with a completely made up story and timeline. It’s not based on any history of our world. So why the decision to have grown men and women marrying children?

It really sucks that they abandoned the plotline of the nightking converting babies It never gets explained further As to why he does it and if they grow up as wights or white walkers and their fortress never gets shown again either with no backstory on how the fortress was made either.The whole thing was a let down.

Converting them into white walkers is pretty much killing them lol.Sucks this plotline got abandoned after this episode and it never gets explained any further nor does the night king and white walkers fortress get explained or shown again either huge disappointment from d&d but if we were counting all the abandoned plot lines in the show we would need prob two sets of hands

Actually, they fulfilled the plotline crasters sons are every white walker you see except for the night King and if you know the lore, they are actually their own race. They are not dead though created by magic same as dragons they are ice made flesh while dragons are fire made flesh. they can even procreate, but it’s rare as their population doesn’t have too many women due to many greedy Wildlings like Craster they are living just not in the way that we know life anyway Craster himself said he had such and such many sons

In season 3 Craster tells Lord Commander Mormont that he just had his 99th son. Most likely referring to little Sam. That means the baby in this episode was Craster’s 100th son. He’s given every one of his sons to the White Walkers who then turn them. So it’s safe to say that the walkers are all the sons of Craster. The dead men are just reanimated people.
