Basically every study ever done has shown that spanking never solves the issue. All it does is bury resentment and traumatize the child. Some who get spanked are able to move past that trauma but on a statistical level all spanking/whooping/belt does is make someone more likely to associate violence with solutions. If anything, spanking Jeffrey would have made him worse.

Adison I love the reactions brother. I think as reactors you guys should be watching the intros and recaps of MOST shows, probably not all lol i know it takes up too much time but sometimes theres stuff you guys are missing out on and as reactors i think you should have all the info that's available to you for the things youre watching. The Lannisters still have money in their vaults but not nearly as much as they used to cause they’re not mining anymore. Tywin has used the Lannister name and reputation to keep them afloat these last few years. That’s the Lannisters problem tho Robert Baratheon really screwed over the crown by getting them into debt with the Lannisters and the Iron Bank. They now have to clean up that mess cause the debt passes to whoever is on the throne. If they don’t pay it off the Iron Bank will fund enemies of the crown. One way or another they always get their gold back

Ironically, I think Joffrey became cruel because of Robert not because of the incest. That disrespect of women. That blood-lust/desire for violence. That was straight Robert 101. So many people like to blame Cersei for how Joffrey turned out when at the end of the day she was a woman surrounded by men who treated her like she was just cattle just for breeding and her son took all the in, yet she was some how expected to teach him that women should be respected? He was surrounded by men who told him violence was always the answer to problems, yet she was some how expected to teach him mercy? The fact that Tommen (i.e. the ignored spare) turned out to be the sweetest kid is proof enough that Cersei can raise a kind kid, ONLY IF the men around her doesn't undermine her at every turn.
