Love y’all but comments like that are disappointing. Especially in a time in society right now where black women are ridiculed, harassed and treated terribly by society. So many BLACK women like Megan are even afraid to speak up because of comments exactly like that. Apart of being an “everyday negro” should include protecting black women. Making comments like that on the internet allows people to feel like they can disrespect black women even further.

I've just had to stop this reaction because of the shock I got at what Brandon said (about that violent individual). I don't play or joke about black women's safety or dignity online/offline. As a black man who has black women he loves and should want to protect, I hope he knows that simple line is further fueling the violence black women face everyday and the gaslighting and dismissal of that pain. I agree with you whole heartedly. While I understand Mike's initial hurt with being left out of loop with El being alive. Once he was told him it was for her protection the disrespectful behavior should have ceased. Mike definitely got my nerves as well. I followed the Tory Lanez trial through a black YouTuber StreetTV who thought Megan was lying. He left the courtroom shook because the doctor testifed to them removing bullet fragments from her feet. I always believed Megan but when I heard the jail call to Kelsie from Tory it sealed the deal for me. Also, Tory defended Kelsie on social media right after the incident when they accused her of shooting Meg and he said Kelsie didn't do it. This was also presented at the trial. When you only listen to the media coverage without hearing the actual evidence in the case you can be misled. I, too, held Brandon in high esteem. While, I am disappointed with his opinion. I would like to maybe talk with him to educate him. I'm hoping he will have an open mind to hearing evidence to the contrary to his belief. He said things weren't adding up.
