I just thought about this. I believe that these things that live in the tunnels can hear everything that the people of this town has been saying. How else would they know what Boyd has said, who’s related, and the towns plans that they come up with to fight them. Or am I late thinking about this possibility lol

YES it's been theorized before that they hear and know everything from what we've been shown in past seasons. They always seem to know the plans, they know about people's pasts and things that are said when they're alone. Lots of fans are assuming Sophia told the monsters the plan, but I think they already knew cause they're always listening! The monsters are so nosey! 🤣
