Von wanted to checkout the Book of Eli for his 1st duo reaction so I said let's do it! Right now Denzel is 100% on any of the movies I've seen so far, this brotha does not miss! Hope y'all enjoyed the reaction and shout out to Von for pulling up for a late night movie reaction!

P.S. I actually had a list of about 4 movies I was going to give him the option of checking out and as soon as I said the first one he didn't even have to hear the rest 😂

This was actually great movie. Gave me a bit of a mad max vibe if you've ever seen any of the movies

DeSandra Torbor

I am watching along with you all while I work.

OnlyPlenty

He hit it on the nose with that she most be blind or something

Kareemah

I watched this live with you. It was a first time watch for me. I actually enjoyed it. Especially, that reveal at the end.

Jas G

Ohhhh, that's why he said that he didn't see the "No Trespassing" sign when they arrived at that house! ..... Also, I love the emotion and vulnerability of Von when Eli passed. Great watch!

i always loved this movie because of the commentary on religion more so christianity. it has 100% been weaponized and used against people to manipulate them and not a lot of movies portray that evil can come from religion or the use of it. this is one of my fav denzel movies. you have to watch it twice and you’ll see all the indicators that he was blind! wild twist

NovusIgnis

Yup, as you guys said the hints were always there that he was blind. You just don't pick up on it because you don't expect it. He would bump into stuff, only fired back at people who fired at him, even at the beginning you could hear him clicking and making noise to bounce off of the cat, so he can tell where it was. When he woke up in the morning, he had to check out the window to feel the sun on his face, instead of just seeing that it was morning time. As he said, walk by faith, not by sight. Also, ya'll gotta rmmebr, the Holy Spirit lives in all followers of Christ and guides us, gives us knowledge, understanding, and protection. It's not unreasonable at all that Eli was able to recall the Bible in its entirety, sine the Holy Spirit exists to help us with such things.

Minister Eli was a real one!

Love this reaction! This movie is a favorite of mine. I'd love to see a Mad Max: Fury Road reaction too!

FindingMyJoi

Diary of a Dragon

Its nice to see Von's face in more reactions 🙂‍↕️👍🏾

Snowbum16

Love this movie! Seeing it again after you know he’s blind, there’s so many tells that they had in the movie that he was blind

flexluthor

More reactions with Von, he’s a cool fella

ericg0724

Best Denzel movie for me I’ve ever saw. I was blown away by the Hughes brothers for this type of production. Malcolm X is definitely close, but this is my favorite Denzel film for sure.

Paul Rendon

Im Not even religious and I thought this was a really good movie

Opa Loki

This is such a treat. I like seeing Von/hearing his commentary on GOT and a duo reaction for Book of Eli!?

Athasin

The dude you can't remember is THE Gary Oldman, he was Sirius Black in Harry Potter, and Commissioner Gordon the Christian Bale Batman movies. So, not always a bad guy.

Honestly41

Also notice he had to walk and could never drive

Carlo

Ain’t that Dumble Deezy?

Tianah Morales

It’s amazing when you realize he was blind at the end and noticed the subtle signs while watching the movie.. I honestly thought Addison was gonna figure it out from the beginning. Very observant! One of my most absolute favorite movies.. I recommend ya’ll watch The Prince of Egypt sometime please! That would be an awesome movie reaction 😌🙏🏼

La Toya Sheri

First watch for me but Denzel is that one for sure.

Chris Giles

I’m looking in the comments and surprised that no one mentioned the three Harry Potter actors you missed in this movie! The bad guy played Sirius Black and the cannibalism couple played Dumbledore and Hagrid’s girlfriend.

Tina Johnson

This is one of my favorite Denzel movies. Crazy but I watched an interview with Denzel and he stated that he initially turned the role down. He had 2 requests in order for him to play in it…. Gary Oldman (the guy that wanted the book) had to be in the film and there had to be some script revisions. I thought it was a great film .
