a major difference between jax and clay is jax can admit when he’s wrong and takes accountability. clay can’t. you can’t lead a club with that type of mentality. gemma is so manipulative it’s actually insane. also i love chibs, his backstory is so 🥺 also also tara has a full time job AND she’s STILL taking care of jax’s child. the woman she is 👏🏽 i know neeta/gemma helps when she’s working but still.

I don’t see it as manipulation. So much bad has happened since Zobell; Gemma’s assault, Chibs was hurt, CaraCara set on fire, their gun issues, now Jax wants to leave. I think she’s realizing if she would’ve told, none of this might have happened and Gemma’s (as much as she’s hated…not by me I love Gemma) she’s trying to keep her family together, so she think telling them now is the best thing to do.

I think labeling it as a manipulation tactic is too simple. It had to be an incredibly difficult thing to tell your son and husband. Especially, if you are a woman who prides herself in being strong and threatening. I think she uniquely understood how much danger Jax would be in alone. Nobody ever went that far in an attack against the club before. These people weren’t just the usual enemies. Jax needed to be aware if he was going to be on his own. She’s his mom. She wants him safe. Moms do things all the time that they don’t want to do for the good of their children.

the first 3 mins of dialogue☠️ || Also, I don’t think Gemma wanted to share her trauma -BUT- she knew Jax wouldn’t be safe leaving, so it was her final card to play. It wouldn’t have been smart to tell them sooner bc SOA would’ve been on a Dummy mission for Zobel & funerals would be HAD🤷🏾‍♀️ ….boy this show slick fire🤣
