I get alicent not believing her that she will spare daeron but whyyy you not believe her ??? Cause only reason rhaenyra kills daeron will be through just more betrayal which is possible because of ormund as we saw at the end of the episode . She has no reason now to kill him … Loved this episode so much ..

Rhaenyra gave Corlys what he asked for in the books. These writers are changing the story and eliminating characters. This is such a good story and these writers are twisting it into something that doesn’t make sense.

The only thing about your theory is that Rhaenyra is the only one who knows the story of ice n fire. So someone has to remain on the throne to pass that story down.

To your point, Adison, the Rhaenyra not legitimizing Corly's sons thing is something just in the show - that's not in the books at all (like a lot of things in HOTD). Pretty sure the third-hand accounts that make up this time period show her giving them titles. That was something that bothered me in the last episode. Even if Corlys was angry, I don't think it's really in his character to blow up at her in front of servants and everyone like that. All seems very out of character for him and for Rhaenyra

They haven't showed this enough in the series and I hope they keep showing more & more, but Aegon is supposed to have an incredibly close bond with his dragon Sunfyre. Also, Helaena is supposed to have a super close, almost psychic, bond with her dragon Dreamfyre - - they haven't showed us Dreamfyre at all yet minus maybe one background shot. I hope we see her. Supposed to be pale-blue.

The shepherd (potentially) saw too much. If word got out (and it usually does because people can't keep their mouth shut) that Daemon and the rider of Sheepstealer were chatting it up at the cave/let her live, especially if they knew WHO the rider was... it would be bad for both Rhaena and Daemon. The shepherd had to go. At least Daemon tried to make the death serve multiple purposes.

Rhae was not going to kill her youngest son…she was going to send him to the wall. She’s not out here just murdering children. The only 2 she wants dead is the one who usurped her throne and the one who killed Luke. Rightfully so. And yes her kids are illegitimate because she had them outside of marriage (even tho we know the circumstances is because she was married to a gay man), but their legal status has always been confirmed by the late king Viserys, their adoptive father Laenor, and Corlys SINCE BIRTH. LEGALLY they aren’t bastards because of that. Corlys cheated on his wife with a lowborn and didn’t acknowledge them as his all their lives up until last episode. It’s not the same
