The manuscript that she made him burn was not one of his Misery novels. It was a new series that he had started on and she didn’t like it because of the profanity that he used that’s why she made him burn it. The Misery novel had already been published. She got it from the store,remember, because she said they had just brought a new batch.

I’ve been a fan of Stephen King since I was in middle school, when I started reading his books. His whole world/universe is connected. The TV series Castle Rock on Hulu season two is Annie Wilkes origin story, starring Lizzy Caplan as a young Annie Wilkes. It’s 10 episodes and definitely worth watching. Season one is good too, but it’s not connected to season two at all. I loved the reaction to Derry, and you guys should definitely watch IT and The Shining for more insight into the characters.

As a student who's taking EMT and firefighting courses in college, She was doing the CPR wrong and it was lowkey bothering me. Its 30 chest compressions and then 2 breaths, she did only like 3 lol. Also Addison is right, most of the time correct chest compressions lead to broken ribs

Just to clear up the only mistake this movie makes the book paul has with him when he crashes is not the latest misery book its a new ip he was working on called Fast Cars(in the stephen king novel) this is the book Annie asks Paul if she can read and the one she is talking about when she scolds him for using profanity then on her first trip to town she purchases the already published misery's child(the one where misery dies) from a book store in town she reads it and then confronts Paul about him killing off misery then she makes him burn the fast cars manuscript so he will keep writing misery its much clearer in the Stephen King novel and adds alot of tension as when she tells Paul she bought the newest misery book and is excited to read it there is a big feeling of OH $h!t from Paul and the reader not knowing what Annie will do when she finds out Misery is dead them rushing the timeline through that part in my opinion is the only mistake this almost perfect film makes as it cuts out a great part of the tension and makes it a little confusing. Oh also Paul's addiction to the Novril plays a much bigger part in the book hes almost as much a prisoner to it than he is annie

It should be noted that the book that Annie forced Paul to burn was NOT the new Misery novel in which Misery died. The book that Annie bought at the store and brought home and showed Paul was the new and final Misery novel in which Misery died. The book that Annie forced Paul to burn was his all new, brand new book that had absolutely nothing to do with Misery since Paul was trying to move on from Misery. It's okay, though. I got them mixed up the first few times too!

The book burned was not a Misery Book. it was the book of slurs by slum kids. The book she purchased in town was the last misery book where she died.
