What was Carl doing when he was Charlie's age? He was a lot younger than her when he had to shoot his mother. I feel kids get to play the "kid card" to a certain point in the apocalypse life. Maturity wise, Carol surpassed me when he shot his mother after handing Maggie his knife and helping while she cut open Lor,i and watched while Judith took her first breath and his mom took her last. In a very gruesome traumatic way, mind you. Carl killed that kid with the governor outside of the prison with Herschel and he was very young. It was right after Lori died. It changed who he was and said as he was dying he knew it was wrong and spent the rest of his life trying to save ppl. In retrospect, if you think about, it was Carl that saved Negan. He saved Sadiq and got bit. He tried over and over to save Ron in Alexandria and ended up getting shot through his eye. So, what's Charlie's excuse?
