Hey all, these in-between Sundays are a little weird for content, since I don't wanna spoil anything for next Sunday, but I'm just letting you all know of my intentions in the coming weeks.

FINISH ALL THE THINGS!

That's right, I want to see the first chapter of Diary Of A Slave sealed up and done by the end of the summer. Here is my sort of comprehensive plan to get it done:

  • Sew up the relationships in the game - This one has been bugging me for a while. Some of the relationships that you can build in the game don't really have satisfying endings like Aya's or Nala's. I wanna make every characters story arc finish somehow
  • Fix the combat - I've been attempting a number of combat solutions in the game, but none of them have really made my game designer brain happy. I have a new one that I think will work well. It's basically tug of war with button mashing and the strength of your pull determined by a single "Authority" stat.
  • Flesh out any content that I feel is incomplete - This is a catch all for anything I might not have completed yet and want to get into the 1.0 release.
  • FINISH THE RANDOMIZER, JESUS - This is an aspect of the game that I have been neglecting for a really long time, simply because it's more fun to add new scenes than it is to write the same scene 10 different times for 6 different people.

Don’t overdo it ok. I mean this plan is great and I’m really looking forward to see it fulfilled but don’t work too much, ok.

there is a notable bug within the game i've come across- when I do it, i do it by failing the mistress' town run errand, but the area in town at the top right where there's a hole in the wall you can go through, i keep getting a bug saying "I need to finish the errand first" even if i'm FAR past that point. I know it's a bug cause i've gotten past it before, yet can't recently, which I know houses a good number of other stuff since before you could only go so far before the dryads or whoever stop you. If the new content is an indication, that place should be more explorable now since the dryads work at the magician's shop later on. Overall bug is that you can't go through the hole in the wall in town even if you finish the errand- thus far i think it's if you fail the errand, but could be an issue regardless.
