Re: American students calling in bomb threats, it's happened. As a parent, we got monthly emails that somebody called it in. When I was in school, my best friend logged in to another student's computer account to make a threat in the hopes it would him in trouble. My spouse was accused of building a bomb by another student because he had a headphone wire without the headphones, a clean tuna can, and a magnet. He went off, calling the admin an idiot, then asked the SRO where the detonator was, where the charge was, where the explosive was, etc. The SRO asked him if he knew how to build a bomb. My spouse said no, he watched war movies. He never did get his speaker back.

If it’s any mark of solidarity, growing up poor in the southwestern US, sunflower seeds were also pretty pervasive. Maybe not quite as but they seemed to be everywhere in my neighborhood in Arizona.
