Weekly Update: Oct 25, 2024 (Patreon)

So, BNB is done so no need to update on that. But also my tablet's charger ain't working so I ain't gonna work on anything until I get that replaced today or tomorrow. So instead, here's an update of what I did this week

Restaurant Game (Name Pending)

I have been working on it tho, drawing it up placeholder stuff and thinking of stuff.

Here are the placeholder assets, they're separate parts but I got them all together like this to make them look nice~

Also ideas!

-Each star equals to 1 point to a belly capacity. 1 star meals are 1 point, 3 star meals are 3 points. Once you feed someone past their belly capacity, boom!

-Different Customers have different ranges of belly capacity based on species

Small sized (mice, etc.) customers have a range of 4-6

Medium sized (dogs, cats, etc.) customers have a range of 6-11

Larger sized (bears, wolves, etc) customers have a range of 9-15

I think 15 should be the max. Special customers, regardless of sizes, have the Large Customers range but always order 3 star meals. (mostly cause I want an animal version of Blake Noir to show up lol)

-Offering more multiplies the score, offering less halves it

-There's a quota that needs to be met every round. This could work for both an endless or set timelimit mode. If you don't meet the quota, its game over. There is a chance of randomization fucking you over but... I do feel like there is a way to make it work. Maybe a strategy lmao

I think having customers that can randomly take anywhere from 1.5 to 5 whole 3 star meals and its difficult to tell which way to go, while enforcing a quota to met can entice players to consider offering more, especially if its a either a time limit or within a number of customers, either one.

So that's all I got for now. Next week (or Sunday) I will make an effort to actually put some work on a prototype of this game to play around and see how mechanics work with each other. We shall see~
