Hello there,

It’s been a tradition for two years now to release the reference sheets used for the comics started that year (at least for the regular Patreon releases, not the funder-exclusive ones).Last year, we even shared the dress Diane is currently wearing :>So here are the reference sheets used in 2025!

I’d also like to add at least one song per project — the track that inspires me the most. These songs are often the main reference for the tone I want to give each story. The Bad Girl:N°1 inspiration music: When the Wolf's at Your Door {Diane Foxington Song} - Voodoo Pup feat. Dangerous MoonlightNew update of our Diane Foxington's design by Akiione. While she did a great job on her first pages featuring Diane, I couldn’t help but feel that she lacked some sex appeal. Inspired by Diane’s noticeably wider hips in the sequel, I asked Akiione to slightly adjust her design to better reflect this newer version, while also making her a bit curvier.

First attempt at Pussie Lucarati’s design (left, by me).

I wanted her to be as black as possible — pure black — so that the only clearly visible elements would be her eyes, with her shapes revealed only through lighting. The test on the right was done by my wife, Spirale, using a latex outfit to explore that idea.

To compensate for the lack of facial visibility — which was a conscious choice — I wanted to rely on her very expressive Italian body language. Unfortunately, this didn’t translate well in a comic format, so we had to reduce the amount of black to make her facial expressions easier to read.

Outfits for Pussie were designed by Tomiku.

Maurice Valmont, designed by Spirale. We tried to make him as French as possible.

Jealousy:N°1 inspiration music: - None. I mostly listened to punk rock playlists sung by women, but no specific song really stood out.

Since FoxiMoron disappeared during the year, he had to be replaced by AngusDra. To see if he could replace him properly, we did a small sketch test, as usual. It was considered close enough to give the green light.

The Red Knight:N°1 inspiration music: WITH ME · SEGA · Jun Senoue · Emma · Tinna · Johnny GioeliAt the time, I was trying to figure out which comic to start with a new artist, Zucci.Muon. Based on her list of favorite characters, I didn’t think I had much to work with, but Rouge was on it. Since classic Rouge x Knuckles didn’t inspire me much, I wondered if I could bring Blaze into the mix, as she’s my favorite Sonic character. Zucci.Muon didn’t mind, and the “Black Knight” setting felt like the most natural way to include Blaze and Knuckles, alongside Shadow.

Zucci.Muon then did some design tests.

However, we weren’t sure we’d move forward with that comic, as her art style — while very cute — didn’t feel entirely appropriate for a medieval setting. So we discussed other project ideas that would better suit her style.

Around that time, I also met dArtagnyan, and it turned out that not only is Rouge his favorite character, but his art style felt far more appropriate for a medieval setting. With Zucci’s approval, the project was passed on to him.

He started with design tests to see how his style would work with the characters.

Then designed Rouge’s armor — The Red Knight — along with reference sheets for each character.

Thrill of the HuntN°1 inspiration music: Kindred, the Eternal Hunters | Login Screen - League of LegendsSkyrilius was already very familiar with drawing Kindred, so she mostly did this for fun, testing how to render her in a more effective way for a long comic (although we reduced the size of Lamb's breast later on).

She then designed Rengar and one of the females from his pride.

Competitive EdgeN°1 inspiration music: PMD: Explorers--Team Charm’s Theme (Arrange) · (original composers Arata Iiyoshi Hideki Sakamoto, and Keisuke Ito)Not much to say here, Akiione likes to design multiple characters to fully familiarize herself with what she has to draw. We struggled a bit to figure out Lopunny’s design, but it didn’t take long to find something we liked. Lucario, on the other hand, was easy to get right from the start.

The Hardcore:N°1 inspiration music: The Dragon Warrior | Kung Fu Panda 3 (Music from the Motion Picture) · Hans ZimmerInitially, Honi_Do was supposed to take on this project after finishing The Children of Burmecia.

Since we weren’t convinced Po was a very appealing character for an adult comic, way too innocent, we first considered Tai Lung. But because I couldn’t find a wholesome, organic way to make it work, we eventually went back to Po, this time making him slightly more mature. We were happy with the result, so the story for The Hardcore was written fairly quickly.

(No particular reason why Po looks so pissed, Honi_Do was just having fun.)

In the meantime, Honi_Do kept experimenting with Tigress, but due to scheduling conflicts with his demanding job, he ultimately had to step away from the project.

The project was then taken over by Skyrilius, despite her already working on Thrill of the Hunt. Like Kindred, she was already very familiar with drawing a surprisingly accurate Tigress. The only thing she needed to test beforehand was Zhen, despite her minor role in the story.

Since I’ve shared the music that inspired each 2025 project, I’d also like to mention this track that deeply inspired The Children of Burmecia. I can’t help but imagine it as Freya’s song.Damn, I love this character.N°1 inspiration music: [French] Melodies Of Life - Final Fantasy IX (original team Emiko Shiratori · Nobuo Uematsu · Alexander O. Smith // Hiroyuki Ito/Shiomi · Shirō Hamaguchi)

(Drawing by Honi_Do)For WantedN°1 inspiration music: Robin Hood Soundtrack - Maid Marian · Michael KamenFor The BondN°1 inspiration music: Ancient Legend · David ArkenstoneNo particular song inspired the My Little Pony comics, however. As for projects that aren’t comics, such as LOKA and Breaking Point...LOKAWhile Honi_Do is still a very busy guy, he agreed to work on this project because illustrations are easier for him than full comic pages, and he also likes the “choose your own adventure” concept. However, he had to draw Krystal under my very picky supervision (those who knows know). I think he did a great job!

He then moved on to drawing the good old SharpClaw.(Oh, that outfit Krystal is wearing? Don’t worry about it, you guys are too good for that)

Breaking PointN°1 inspiration music: Dark Hollow (five) · Stewart Copeland

This story was originally meant to be a comic, but I wasn’t able to find an artist to draw it. Also, at the time, Cynder x Spyro didn’t seem to make numbers on those websites, so I didn’t actively push to find someone.

Later on, Spirale wanted to help me strengthen the Tier Café on Patreon/SubscribeStar, which had lost some appeal after we stopped doing alternate versions of illustrations and were left with only textless versions. She suggested making illustrated stories instead.

After some back-and-forth about which story to work on, we eventually came back to the Cynder x Spyro idea — which felt right, especially since Spyro holds a special place in our relationship.

I hope you’ve enjoyed all this information! Thank you so much for your continued support. Alongside the ongoing comics, we have plenty of new things planned for next year, and we’re excited to share them with you!

Until then, Merry Christmas if you celebrate it, and Happy New Year!

Animators adjusting the size of Diane's hips in the sequel was the best thing to happen. I don't think we'll ever see a better dress than what you gave in this story as well. Will always praise the perfect balance of elegance and teasing sex appeal. Thanks for showing all this before the end of the year. Hope yall enjoy a good break still.

Jesus, your Diane has the perfect body/figure! I salute you sir!! 🫡
