The 21st is the last eps. you have plenty of time to catch up! Don't stress.

voltXr

In all 4 seasons women that were in long term relationships wanted to reunite with their exes and 1 person managed to do it. When participants agree to join in this show with their ex they need to be prepared for their ex to want them back. The show's objective is not 100% new couples , Its 50 % reunion and 50% new couples directly stated by the show's producer. The couples that got back together in all seasons from season 1 to 4 are all still together. every single 1. Can you stop hating on woojin to want to get back with his ex? he is not trying for someone new and JY can just choose someone new or not him in final decision if she doesn't wanna get back with him. So the success for reunion couples is way higher than transfer couples in the show. They can go to other dating shows if they didn't wanna 100% reunite with their exes.

---12:17 You can visibly see YUN-NYEONG’S chest rising and falling so fast so her heart rate probs increased after this reveal LOL. YY: “it wasn’t like I met someone while dating him.” Ma’am it’s the principle of the matter that’s the problem…”his best or close friend” whom you knew about & probs hung out with in groups while dating JAE-HYUNG. The optics of this don’t look good for her.. Both YY and the close friend are wrong to me. The time frame, it being his friend and EX girl, JH going to military while it happened. I would never talk or want to reunite with either ever again. At this point I respect myself more and can find better friends/better girlfriend, I would heal and let those 2 be. ---15:52 🤣🤣🤣Haha same! i be watching this Korean shows and be like these small things they put emphasis on and get mad over would not really matter that much here in United States dating culture or at the very least we'd feel hurt and get over these things fairly quickly. ---31:56 I'm not really understanding of what YUN-NYEONG is saying here......it's as if she's trying to push the blame and avoid the main issue he brought up of "dating his friend". Then she called JAE-HYUNG "selfish".....umm says the person who dating his friend but okay. I still like her but this convo is a bit off putting. ❤️BUT me saying all this I do think they had a level headed, pure and beautiful conversation compared to the other EXES when they talk.

girlygirl9983

I agree it's okay for WOO-JIN to want to get back with JI-YEON. JY is not completely pushing him away and he is not interested in anyone else romantically so it's okay for him to stay committed to trying to reunite with JY until the very end.

watch the full reaction first - my whole opinion changed after their conversation up stairs

girlygirl9983

---19:19 😭This is EXACTLY my reaction to BAEK-HYUN, like what the heck, stop ✋🛑all this touchy feely mess. i would not care about him doing this if he had no interest in anyone else and only wanted to reunite with HYUN-JI but starting to touch your EX while having YUN-NYEONG in the picture is actually crazzzyyyy. ---28:56 EXACTLY 😅 like MIN-KYUNG girl. The problem is YOO-SIK not interested, he’s blunt & straight to the point. Meanwhile MK wants to be loved on by YOO-SIK as if they were happily dating still. ---1:10:19 ???? is HYUN-JI serious Lol YOO-SIK said this because what HYUN-JI says does not align with what she does. And it was very evident this episode. BAEK-HYUN is the one touching all on her but she has the ability to say "no" "stop" or walk away from BAEK-HYUN's advances.....or to set things clear with BAEK-HYUN and focus on YOO-SIK. ---1:59:57 BAEK-HYUN, BAEK-HYUN, BAEK-HYUN .........this is so lame. This is why i said YOO-SIK cares more about HYUN-JI than she does about him , that "Don't talk about her like that" was so manly and reassuring.

To set your expectations by giving example from previous seasons. The transfer relationship(choosing new person instead of ex) that worked the best had 1 person(K) that would have picked their ex in a heartbeat if that ex was interested in K (used K instead of name). Didn't mention the gender of person (K) because you could have biases in present season participants.

it's u

What in kdrama is that between my favs jihyun and wonkyu

girlygirl9983

ONE thing is for sure, if WON-KYU and JI-HYUN married earlier on they would 100% be divorced 1-3 years after. ---56:38 Agreed the trip wasn’t the reason for breakup but a pile of behaviors/decisions that led to it.
---57:44 Given how WON-KYU is practical/straight to the point, has a disciplined/structured personality, I see why JI-HYUN saying one thing but doing another would turn him off and irritate him. IDK if "insincere" is the right word but I get what he wanted to say. BUT I also understand JI-HYUN’s heartbreak and frustration over WON-KYU not supporting her career change.
WON-KYU wants her to be sacrificial, disciplined, and desperate in her studies and decisions probably like he was that led him to becoming a doctor. ---2:21:52 LMAO same 🤣 like JI-HYUN does not need to walk off like that after stating WON-KYU said that about “women” ALLEGEDLY. And WON-KYU probably shouldn’t be grabbing her like that while she’s emotionally heated. It seems as if JI-HYUN was wording things and misinterpreting some of their past relationship conversations. When JH kept bringing up examples I wanted to support and understand her but I was like did WON-KYU actually say this or did JH internalize this and was so in her head that she begin to believe what she thought WK thought of her. Like genuinely WON-KYU is looking puzzled as to why JI-HYUN internalized and made up things in her mind that aren't true. It seems JI-HYUN had a low self esteem and an inferiority complex while dating WON-KYU, it's so unfortunate she felt and still somehow feels that way and that WON-KYU also contributed to making her feel that way whether he intended to or not. This is becoming psychological, she might need therapy or if they get back together they seriously need couples therapy before considering marriage again. From our POV it's far deeper for them without knowing all the details. But I understand both sides. WON-KYU and JI-HYUN just don't fit, they're not compatible at all not for anything long term I feel at least. They're not a match! There’s 3 sides to a story—JH’s side, WK’s side and the TRUTH of course. When it comes to this conversation specifically. K-Nitizens said WON-KYU and JI-HYUN’s convo shouldn’t have been aired, I think because what she claimed he said about women working/university or whatever. From a South Korean standpoint it could ruin his reputation. This could easily be a Defamation of character case. But of course all their interactions, emotions & stories would be used for views or higher ratings. It's the RISK that is taken when you sign up for REALITY TV show televised to the whole country. Last thought...BUT I really wish JI-HYUN would stop bringing up this JY+WK, T-Shirt incident. She's giving off the vibe of she'll keep bringing it up if they were to get back together. He was drunk and JY took it from him, he didn't willingly give it to her. AND JI-YEON has her own mouth & mind she gave meaning to the shirt not WON-KYU. He said he was wrong. If you're going to forgive a lover absolutely do not keep bring up their past mistake that you chose to forgive, otherwise just don't be with that person. She's growing resentment.

Soibifa

I used to ship BK and YN so much but tbh I don’t anymore. BK still has strong feelings for HJ.I think before he’s able to move on he needs therapy 😭. He needs to leave YN alone and at this point I’m hoping YN doesn’t choose him. BK acts differently depending on who he’s with. As for YN dating her ex’s close friend, that was pretty shitty Yh. I think she literally was emotionally done with the relationship before she broke up and that’s why it was so easy for her to move on after. Also she said she hated him because of how he treated her so she probably didn’t care about how he would feel. Either way she was young and people make mistakes.( still doesn’t excuse her actions though) Anyways I just need the final episode to air cause everyone is pissing me off.

girlygirl9983

Lol I see 1:40:31 and 1:47:18 and 1:50:58

girlygirl9983

1:48:52 How can JI-YEON be this upset and frustrated with WOO-JIN when she's been all on WON-KYU since DAY 1. The contradiction...........

kala

Just wanted to say your points are very coherent so keep the episodes coming asap!

Rachel Lopez

Sorry in advance, this is gonna be a LONG comment 😅 I just wanted to explain my thoughts properly. First of all, I want to say that I really like Jihyun. I’ve supported her from the beginning and that hasn’t changed. But after this episode, I felt like we finally saw more clearly that Wonkyu wasn’t the only one at fault, even though we obviously don’t know their full story and only see part of what happened. It’s not new that Wonkyu made mistakes in their breakup, especially breaking up over text, which was clearly wrong. That said, I can still understand his point of view, especially as someone who is also pretty logical and pragmatic. When it comes to studies and personal investment, Jihyun has every right to explore, change paths, and figure things out. That’s not a fault in itself at all. They just have very different ways of thinking and approaching life and goals. Wonkyu values structure, consistency, and commitment, and at that point in their lives, for him, it wasn’t just about her as an individual anymore but about their relationship as a couple. He even said himself that he didn’t have an issue with her changing directions or trying something new. The problem, from his perspective, was that she said she would fully commit and in the end didn’t really follow through. Again, that doesn’t make Jihyeon wrong, it’s just something Wonkyu personally couldn’t accept. Even if breaking up over that might seem extreme, it felt like an accumulation of things and consistent with how he thinks. The same goes for the savings issue. It’s not about right or wrong, but about how it felt. Jihyun was the one who brought it up initially, but Wonkyu ended up feeling like he was the only one really sticking to it and making an effort. He felt alone in something that was supposed to be a shared plan, and I understand why that affected him. What stood out to me the most in this episode was their communication. Jihyun has suffered a lot, and that’s completely valid. Wonkyu definitely hurt her, and a lot of misunderstandings were caused by his actions, sometimes unintentionally. Those things absolutely justify Jihyun feeling hurt and holding resentment toward him. At the same time, I sometimes feel like she also struggles to acknowledge her own role. This often comes out through repeating the same points or slightly reshaping situations. I don’t think it’s intentional, but it makes their conversations really difficult. The bedroom scene is a good example. Wonkyu asks her who she would want him to choose for a date. She doesn’t answer and instead redirects the conversation toward their past relationship and the idea that he seems to hate her. Wonkyu then says it feels like she thinks the breakup was entirely his fault, which he doesn’t agree with. She asks him to explain how he thinks she also played a role, and he explains his perspective and what hurt him, without saying he was blameless. Yet she ends up concluding that he’s saying she’s the only reason they broke up, which isn’t actually what he said. These small misunderstandings happen a lot between them. Jihyun tends to interpret and fill in the blanks herself, likely tied to insecurities. We saw this earlier in the interviews too, and again in this episode when she brings up things he supposedly said, like her needing to go to a more prestigious university or certain comments about women. His reaction shows he didn’t say things that way. She understood them like that, but it wasn’t his intention. In the end, I’m not team Wonkyu or team Jihyun. Wonkyu’s mistakes and the misunderstandings he caused don’t get erased, and Jihyun is completely valid in feeling hurt because of them. But this episode showed a more complex dynamic. They have different values, a lot of pride on both sides, and communication shaped by past hurt. After this episode, I just understand their dynamic better, whereas before the focus was mostly on Wonkyu’s faults alone.

girlygirl9983

100% agree, you said this so well.

Rachel Lopez

AGREED especially on the fact that if Jihyeon and wonkyu were to get back together I feel like Jihyun would keep bringing up past arguments like the t-shirt incident or else, so if both of them are not able to forgive each other and move forward (even though it starts by understanding each other which is clearly not the case at the moment) they shouldn’t go back together.

Sad

1:23 Season 2 is THE BEST season.

Ssarcastic_Loser

Love the multiple post on the best dating reality there is out there. Appreciate it. There are a couple of general things about the show i wanted to mention, hope its not too long. First, about this show, I feel that the biggest factor that makes it so different and one of the best , you will definitely agree, is the addition of having your EX. At the same time, this addition can also work against it sometimes. Specially, as you have already felt it this episode, that the switch-ups. Even the smallest of emotion can have a snowball effect and can lead a potential new couple to completely change its trajectory unexpectedly. Thus it can be frustrating as a viewer if you had someone or a particular new ship you are invested in almost 2/3rd of the season only to get completely derailed and it becomes all about going the way of your ex instead of a newer relationship. It is something i have faced once too many in this series. To be honest, when I started this show, this part really frustrated me, to have been invested but after watching a couple of seasons i realized that something like this more often than not is bound to happen, specially if you take into account that the exes have agreed to live in the same space which in 99% of the cases implies that they are either OK with each other(amicable breakup) or might have residual or unresolved feelings; and that its a part and parcel of the show which has this kind of format. Also in most cases, when it comes to your EX, there is definitely a whole world of events and stories that is perhaps not portrayed in the show. The viewers only know what is shown on the broadcast. And what is shown on the broadcast is limited to what the couple (exes) are comfortable to reveal on national television. There might have been parts of their story that the couple might have thought would not have been too appropriate or private. So taking this into consideration, i decided to make my peace on the matter regarding reunions with the Exes. Hope my view helps in your understanding or maybe even your considerations regarding choices made on this show. Secondly, this season's editing has been done to create more drama and to mislead viewers in terms of not showing the full picture at the exact time it happens (more Single Infernoesque). Unlike previous seasons, where events are shown as they happen without breaking timeline, which feels more natural and misleading edits are kept to a minimum. Thus this season PDs are being criticized for this reason. TBH it doesn't really bother me that much as they are trying to make it more entertaining by inducing more drama, but to each their own i guess. And lastly, i did notice you almost missed a few dialogues which had a lot of context. Just a heads up, with the exes reveal, there will be a lot of conversations and arguments that are gonna go down, so I think it would help you to either pause or let the conversation play out so that you don't miss out on any context and may be confused as to the lead up to certain events. Apologize for the long post, just hoped these insights might slightly improve your viewing experience.

hanbitna

Nahh dating your ex’s best friend is not it. It just feels so wrong. I really like YN but what Jaehyeong feel is valid and I like their conversation. First love really hits you that hard imo. Now Baekhyun seems really 🚩 I don’t want YN with BH anymore because BH might hurt YN’s feelings later on. I also don’t like the fact that BH is so touchy with his ex while he said he has feelings for YN like??? How can u do that in front of someone u like? BH’s feeling for Hyeon Ji is so strong he needs to stop that first before going to someone new. At this point, I want the exes are back together like Woojin n Jiyeon, Ji Hyeon n Wonkyu, Minkyung n Yoosik, Yunyeong n Jaehyeong EXCEPT Baekhyun and Hyeon Ji. I mean I don’t care anymore they can just do whatever they want. You don’t have to understand their actions now ㅠㅠ

Cherali2

I completely agree with your analysis of Wonkyu. That's why he wrote in the introduction of Jihyun's ex that she was "immature".

Cherali2

Regarding Minkyung, I think she's reliving the breakup a second time and will continue acting the way she is until she says, "STOP. I've done everything I could to get back with him, he doesn't want me, I have to move on with my life." It's at that point that she'll focus on herself and forget Yoo-Sik. Everything she does now stems from her healing process.

Cherali2

You put it so harshly😭. As he said earlier, he may like or dislike the participants' behavior; it doesn't mean he hates them, just that he disagrees with them. As dxwxt said, he doesn't hate anyone on the show.

Cherali2

The next episodes will only become more upsetting. be ready.

voltXr

I didn't watch the reaction fully before commenting but even if jiyeon didn't message Woojin. WJ can still keep trying for her as that's the format of show. If JY didn't want anything to do with WJ she should have joined another dating show and not join exchange. Jiyeon said even in earlier episodes to WJ that he should only express his interest in her if its 100% and he took his time and realised its 100% and is going for her

Ssarcastic_Loser

What is upsetting about the next EP? I feel it just clears up a major misunderstanding and actually displays the depth of a particular relationship really well.
