Good morning, my beautiful Patrons.

What a delicious Friday to share something special with you! I’m thrilled to unveil my CAPTAIN BRITAIN artwork, commissioned by the fabulous Phoenix Monroe through the Patron Saint Commission tier (thank you Phoenix for the awesome request!).

Now, let’s get real: I was a Marvel EXCALIBUR devotee growing up (I knew there are a few more of you here as well!), and I had it bad for BRIAN BRADDOCK, our strapping CAPTAIN BRITAIN, especially during Alan Davis’ iconic run. So when Phoenix requested this blonde Adonis, I was practically vibrating with glee to bring him to life.

Naturally, I had to draw the Captain in his classic hero suit, all noble and chiseled. But let’s talk about the real masterpiece: those gloriously snug green pajama bottoms from Excalibur #46–50. Buff, hairy, shirtless, swaggering, and leaving nothing to the imagination, those PJs were my teenage spank bank’s MVP! (No shame, darlings, we’ve all been there.)

I’ve whipped up a few variant versions for your viewing pleasure. The torn costume is a cheeky delight, but my heart belongs to the PJ-clad Brian… and, well, the fully nude version... but I gather I'm more than a little biased!

Feast your eyes, my loves! May is just heating up, and I’m cooking up so much more for you. STAY TOONED, stay naughty, and enjoy!

PS -- The Captain's CUTOUTS will drop later this month! XD

Ugh, those pants… I came to this run of comics later in life, but simp’d just the same. I don’t know if Alan knew what he was doing for us havin him walk around like that, but boy did it 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 and Thank YOU for giving us a proper bulge 🤤🤤🤤

I remember when I read through the Claremont-Davis Excalibur run a few years ago, and I fully remember thinking to myself “Alan Davis has to be an ally because the way he’s drawing Brian Braddock is fully for the gays” when I saw those life changing green pajamas! So incredibly well done! I love that Brian is such a hunk that he’s practically already a Fillion boy during that run

If it was deliberate or not, I dunno... but boy-oh-boy, was it ever EFFECTIVE! Talk about EYE-CANDY!! 🤤🤤🤤 The thing is Alan Davis draws BEEEEAUTIFUL, extremely sexy male characters. I dunno if he's aware he does, but he truly does. WOWWEE!!! 😍😍😍💖💖💖

PatrickFillion

HA HA HA! Sooooo true -- He MUST be an ally -- either that, or he's completely oblivious to the fact that in all of mainstream comic-dom, he draws some of the most beautiful, sensual, MOUTHWATERING male characters out there. He inspired so much of my style as a budding young artist when I was growing up, and it was a COMPLETE PLEASURE and honor getting to draw Brian... I love me a big, buff, uncut, fair-haired British stud, as we all know! Heh! Heh! 😈😋 I'm so thrilled you enjoyed my take on the good Captain, my friend... Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments! XOXOX 😄🤗😊😍❤️

It’s half the fun of going back and reading those issues, they were imagination fodder before we had artists and comics like you & your universe of titles

Those sleep pants left quite an impression on my teenage self. Even today seeing a hot guy in sleep pants drives me wild! I wonder if Alan Davis knows how many gay men he’s effected with his hunky Brian 😛😛😛

Bobster

Oh YES YES YES! I really loved Captain Britain from his own book & then in Excalibur for quite a while. I most remember him in the PJs as well as when he and his sister were attacked and he was shown in torn clothes. I wish there was a way to post the pic here!!

Conor Young

Mmmmm, I can see why those pajama pants left such an impression on you!! They're such a divinely slutty look for such a prim and proper British gent like Brian 😜😜🤤🤤. And that nude variant... WOOF!! Brian certainly lives up to Excalibur's name with a mighty sword like that swinging between his thick thighs 😈🤤 stunning work, Patrick!!

PatrickFillion

LOL! Thank you so much, my dear Conor! I love that you enjoyed this variant... yeah, those PJs definitely live on in my mind and will do so until the day I DIE! HA HA HA! It was so much fun drawing this variant... and honestly, I think that the Nude version might be my favorite overall... because as much as I remember Brian in costume from Excalibur, it was his time OUT OF IT that made a lasting impression on me. This is definitely my homage to those moments! Thanks again for the love! I truly appreciate it!! XOXO 😍🤗😘😍

PatrickFillion

No worries, Bobster... I know EXACTLY the image you're referring to. 😋😋 That attack was an INCREDIBLY MEMORABLE moment from the series for me... and I am always happy to revisit it. I love that you enjoyed my take on Brian as Captain Britain. Thank you soooo much for the love and enthusiasm. It truly means a lot!! XOXO 🙏😊🤗😘

PatrickFillion

Heh! Heh! Alan may never know how strongly his beautiful art left an impression on so many of us young Gay boys... And I absolutely know what you mean -- sleep pants drive me nuts even still today, thanks to Alan's early drawing of sexy Brian in those slutty green PJ bottoms! LOL! XOXOX 😂😋😋🥰

PatrickFillion

So true -- and thank you, Sweety! You are so kind!! XOXOX 🙏🥰🥰

Conor Young

Definitely agreed with on Brian's nude variant, you've made him such a perfect Adonis just begging to have every inch of his bare flesh worshipped 🤤🤤. Do you have any recommendations for comics that feature Brian? I'd love to learn more about him, and to see some of these out of costume moments for myself 😈😂

PatrickFillion

Oh absolutely, my friend. In my humble opinion, you cannot go wrong with the classic Excalibur series by Alan Davis, issues #1 - 50. They are such a wonderful creative and imaginative collection of issues, and all of the characters get some really great moments to shine… but Brian is especially featured in all his glory. Davis is never shy about stripping him and placing him in peril… and the character handles it all beautifully. Plus, those lovely sleep pants make several appearances, and that is a serious bonus! LOL! The Captain Britain graphic Novel by Davis acts as a sort of prequel to Excalibur and is also really great. Definitely something I’d recommend as well. Maybe your local comic shop can help track that down for you. Enjoy, my friend!! XOXO 😘 😊 😃
