Hello!

Below you will find the script for episode #2 of the F4TF Apothecary series if any of my lovely trans patreons would like to give it a quick sensitivity read? If you'd like to comment about anything but don't want to out yourself please always feel free to private message me as well.

Apart from that it's a little sneak peek into what my scripts look like! This is what I read aloud while I'm recording, though I'll admit I've cleaned this particular script up a lot more than normal!

And please forgive any spelling errors, despite being a professional author it's not my strong suit.

EPISODE 2

Door bell.

Darling!! Hello, lovely to see you. I have presents. Come come come.

You look good today. I’m sure you look good everyday, I mean you look a little brighter than the last time I saw you. There's a bit more pep in your step.

Good, I'm glad to hear it.

Now let me close the store, you shall have my undivided attention.  I have your order ready. Soooo…

We have the elixir for a little more growth in the chest department, and I've got all the instructions on a little scroll with each bottle so no need to worry. And thiiiiiiis is from my lovely witch friend Mariah, I reached out to her about your concerns about your voice so she whipped something up for you.

She did tell me though, quite strictly, that I was to read out the side effects so ahem.

One drop in a cup of water per day for three months. Do not consume for longer than three months, even if there is still elixir left over. That part is underlined so… take note.

Do not consume more than one drop per day. If you forget to take your daily dose, do not double dose the next day and extend the three month period only by the number of days missed.

Breath.

Effects will be a semi permanent rise in voice pitch. Further treatments may be needed down the line for maintenance, HOWEVER, the voice will not be able to go back to previous pitch without intervention.

Side effects include a loss of volume to the voice, and a tight feeling in the throat which will last longer than the three month period of taking the elixir.

Tell your patient I said hello,

Mariah, says hello.

So, that considered, would you still like the elixir to help with your voice? Alrighty then. Yes it should have a bit more kick than just some voice lessons. Some side effects too, but you’re a big girl you know what you’re doing.

Oh I can give you another little bag hold on… I saved a really pretty one. Ahah! See. Wait, I'll make it all nice. Oh you can look around. Of course.

I’ve got new soaps in as well, they’re mint! They’re divine.

Don’t touch those purple candles though, darling, they have mugwort in them and I know you're allergic.

Well of course I remembered. You’re a customer. I care about my customers. I don’t want you having a reaction to something. Besides, I do like you just in general as well.

I told you I’m incapable of lying. Trust me people know when I don’t like them, I’m rather forthright about it.

And after all, I saved you the best of the little bags. That has to count for something.

A question? Yes, what’s your question? Anything for wider hips? Hmmm. Do I have anything for widening hips?

Thinking.

I don’t think I’ve been asked for that before. For the meantime you can always do what women have done for forever and use some padding, undergarments are miraculous things. But for something more permanent…. I’ll have to do some research darling. It’s in that little grey area where I may need to call on Mariah again.

I guess that means you’ll have to come back and see me again. What a shame.

I know it’s almost like I want to see you more often.

Hmm. Well If I wanted to be very crafty about seeing you more often, I could offer you a job here. I need an assistant. I’m getting to the point where I need an extra set of hands around the place, even for a day or two a week.

So?

Do you want a job?

Ah see, so shrewd, I knew you had a sharp brain in that pretty head of yours. I can offer you three copper pieces for every day worked. And I’m sure I could throw in some discounts on any future orders you may have.

Oh no this isn’t an act of charity, it’s entirely selfish, I assure you. Well because I want to get to know you better, but the problem is I am constantly at work, so…. Employing you would seem to solve that problem.

Five copper pieces. Oooh, you do drive a hard bargain. How about four copper pieces and for today I’ll throw one of those lovely mint soaps into your bag?

We have a deal? How excellent.

(quietly) If you don’t want the job you don’t have to take it…

Perhaps you're the one being charitable to me? The mad woman that brews all these lotions and potions. Well. I’m glad…

But do know I won’t be offended if you end up saying it’s not the right job for you. Well alright.

Oh worrying is half my personality, darling, that’s why I got into this business, to ease other people’s worries even if I couldn’t ease my own. But here. Here is your little bag, complete with your mint soap.

Come back tomorrow, and I’ll show you about, start teaching you some things?

Brilliant. Oh you can wear whatever you like. Whatever you feel best in. Wear a ball gown for all I care.

What if someone what? Oh what if someone doesn’t like you serving them. Then you come and get me and I will shove my boot up their backside and kick them out onto the street.

I told you I have more customers than I can handle, I don’t have to deal with the horrible ones if I don’t want to. Nor do you, not here.

Sounds like a plan. Remember to read those instructions, enjoy your soap. And I’ll start flicking through some books for something about hip widening. It should be a good little project to figure out.

Yes. I will see you tomorrow.

Awwww, this was really lovely and sweet, as always! :) I really like the character development for both the listener and apothecary here. In terms of sensitivity reading, I cannot really think of anything. My weird brain could conjure some nitpicks on how voice training actually works and how magic or a potion would relate to that and what it would do...but that is neither here nor there. ^^ The way you wrote that part was great as well, I think. In general, I am really looking forward to hear this read aloud by your lovely voice. :3

This was a lovely read 😊 with the voice training stuff that Emerald mentioned, I think it’s worth thinking about! You could think that a potion should be quicker and easier than voice training, and you wouldn’t have to worry about your voice failing. So while voice training would eventually get you to the same outcome, the potion is an easier way there, so I think it having ”a bit more kick” is a fun way to put it 😄 I guess ”just some voice training” could be interpreted as voice training not being that good, but I don’t really feel like the text implies that. At least I didn’t think of it like that when I first read through it. Everything else seemed really nice to my eyes as well 😊 I really appreciate the effort you’re putting into these! I can’t wait to hear you read this, and to see where the story goes next ❤️

I'm at work but I'll be sure to read it after! Thanks for all you do! 🥰❤️

NightMinx17

As far as sensitivity goes I cant think of a single issue! Thank you for this series and especially thank you for checking with this stuff!! Really feels nice to know people out there care in spite of the world, and this script is no different!😊 another ace in the hole!

Larra van loon

Love it! Only thing i have to note (besides how i love the development) is that for the voice potion part pitch is not the only important thing but also resonance is in many ways more important. You can have a high pitch and masculine resonance and it would just sound wrong. While you can have a masculine pitch but feminine resonance and you would sound like a woman with a low voice.

Graphite_Sparrow

Giving it a read through I can't see single issue with it, besides what Larra mentioned about the voice. I love how it's developing.

I found this very sweet Nothing I personally noticed

Morgan Ellis

Trans girl here, and this seems perfectly fine to me! Excited for this one to come out in audio form.

Kuura

Trans lady here, can't notice anything out of ordinary. But the story is very enjoyable. ☺️

Princess Aoife

I see absolutely no issues, but there is a suggestion of where you xan take this (ignore if you wish.) With the widening of hips request, perhaps your character could come across something thst is thr fantasy world equivalent of hormone therapy. From there, the character transitioning could experience both the physical and emotional changes. One of the hardest parts of early transition (I'm a month in) is suddenly having access to emotions you didn't as a man, any little thing can send us into an emotional whirlwind. From there you can explore the growing bond between the two characters, with her constantly assuring the trans character throughout this journey that they are happy to help them and its worth it, stuff like that. I'd love an audio that explor3d that and I'm not sure I've ever seen one.
