Join us for free, weekly Ukrainian language lessons: Updates for our members (Patreon)

Dear Kyiv Independent community members,

Thank you to those who have been joining our community language lessons. We have been holding weekly language classes every Tuesday. Anyone is welcome to join at any point!

We’d like to update you on the structure of our lessons, just in case you missed it. Based on your feedback, we’ve decided to split up beginning and intermediate language levels, alternating each week. Today’s lesson will be a beginner-level lesson, and next week, May 28, will be for the intermediate level.

Here is the information for our meetings, just in case:

Date: Every Tuesday

Time: 7-8 p.m. Kyiv time (5-6 p.m. BST, 12-1 p.m. EDT)

Link: https://zoom.us/j/96183804885?pwd=VGRyMmlodjRJMFBGNTEzaGowRTFKQT09

You can add this meeting to your Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, or Yahoo Calendar with the Zoom calendar integration by clicking the link above.

We’re also looking for your feedback. We ran a survey about a month ago, asking for your feedback and suggestions for these language lessons. It was incredibly helpful, and we have restructured things based on your feedback. We want to make sure we’re on the right track, and if you have a minute, we’d appreciate if you could take our most recent survey here. Thank you for taking the time.

Finally, you can also join our Discord, where we have channels set up for learning Ukrainian, including lesson recaps and additional learning materials. Our Ukrainian teacher Vitalii is on Discord, and can answer questions you might have about the language in general: https://discord.gg/m7xnGz5k8Z

We will share recordings of the beginner Ukrainian lessons on Discord as well. The intermediate lessons are structured as a speaking club so the recordings won’t be shared.

To join our community server, you will need a Discord account. After you click the invitation link, let us know your username by emailing us at community@kyivindependent.com, and we’ll add you to the full server.

If you have any questions or need any assistance on joining our Discord server, you can reach out to community manager Brooke at brooke@kyivindependent.com.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at the next Ukrainian lesson!
