Dear Kyiv Independent community members,

Thank you to those who attended our last Q&A with our editor-in-chief Olga Rudenko and reporter Dinara Khalilova about press freedom in wartime Ukraine. Thank you to those who sent in your questions as well – they are always central to our discussions.

Last Thursday, Olga and Dinara summarized the pressure that Ukrainian journalists have been facing over the past year, including the Kyiv Independent, and answered your questions about the challenges of reporting under martial law. They discussed how access to the front line has become increasingly limited and their hopes for the future of independent journalism in Ukraine.

If you have any ideas for topics you’d be interested in for future Q&As, please let us know by emailing us at community@kyivindependent.com.
