Dear Kyiv Independent community members,

In case you missed it, we have some exciting news for you – we launched our travel show, “Dare to Ukraine,” this weekend!

The series will be available on our YouTube channel, and will feature six episodes, each focusing on a different city or region in Ukraine.

The first episode is about Lviv, with our host Masha Lavrova visiting the largest city in western Ukraine, exploring the weekend market at Rynok Square and the Lviv National Opera, cooking traditional food with locals, as well as going on a street art tour and visiting the Lychakiv Cemetery.

Most people can now identify Ukraine on a map, unfortunately as a result of Russia’s full-scale invasion, but Ukraine is much more than the wartime headlines. “Dare to Ukraine” showcases the rich culture and history of the country, introducing Ukraine to international audiences beyond the context of war.

And we can also use your help to spread this message.

We’ve been hanging posters around Kyiv, and we’re hoping you can do the same in your own city! Attached here is the PDF for this poster. The QR code on the poster takes you to the page for “Dare to Ukraine” on the Kyiv Independent’s website.

If you are able to hang the “Dare to Ukraine” posters where you live – please send us a photo at community@kyivindepndent.com, letting us know which city it’s in. We want to share these efforts on our social media!

Thank you again for your support – it’s thanks to members like you that we can embark on new projects like our travel show and keep bringing the news from Ukraine to the rest of the world.

We’re looking forward to hearing your feedback on the show and to seeing your photos with the “Dare to Ukraine” posters!
