Exclusive premiere: Join us for an online screening of "Shadows Across the River” and Q&A with the War Crimes Investigations Unit about their documentary (Patreon)

Dear Kyiv Independent community members,

Our War Crimes Investigations Unit is getting ready to release its next documentary, “Shadows Across the River,” which investigates Russian war crimes in the occupied territory of Ukraine’s southern Kherson Oblast.

Danylo Mokryk, the film’s author, investigates the Russian terror on the east bank of the Dnipro River, which has been under occupation since 2022. The documentary tells previously unknown stories, including about the murder of Ruslan Rusnak, who was taken from his home in the village of Hornostaivka by Russian forces and tortured to death in November 2023.

Before the release next week, we are holding an exclusive online screening of “Shadows Across the River” for our community members. The film’s run time is one hour and the screening will be followed by a Q&A with Danylo Mokryk and Yevheniia Motorevska, the head of the War Crimes Investigations Unit.

Register for the Q&A and submit your questions here: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_3BpBEdE_SHWisb-e5T0BYA
