Dear Kyiv Independent community members,

We hope you’ve been well — and we have a favor to ask. We’re getting ready to start a new project, and we’d love for some of our members to join us.

We’re looking for volunteers to help us in our next campaign to grow our community and build our brand awareness internationally.

We’re about to launch a membership campaign to reach 20,000 members; we’re currently just over 17,000. As the geopolitical situation has worsened over the past months, we’ve seen increasing interest from our readers in supporting news from Ukraine and mobilizing support locally. We want to make sure that we don’t miss this momentum, and that our news is reaching the people who care about it. And, as part of this effort, we want to deepen our connection with some of our most important markets.

We’re planning to kick off our campaign in May, and we’re looking for volunteers in the following countries: the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Australia, Sweden, Germany, France, Switzerland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, and Finland.

We’re looking for volunteers who can advise us on their country’s media landscape and language used in our campaign messaging — and we’re also looking for those who might be interested in hosting an in-person event, like a film screening of one of our documentaries, in their local communities.

During the campaign, we plan to consult with volunteers from these countries and ask for their advice on how we can make our journalism more impactful and visible in these countries.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please fill out our short form, here.

We’ll be reaching out to selected volunteers in the following weeks. Thank you for your support.
