This is Liliane Bivings, the business editor at the Kyiv Independent, and I’m here to let you know that we’ve just launched our Holiday Gift Guide: The Best Ukrainian Gifts of 2025. Our gift guide is a handpicked selection of Ukrainian-made items, Kyiv Independent merch, and initiatives to donate to, curated entirely from staff recommendations across every department of our team.

From editors and reporters to video producers and members of management, dozens of our colleagues submitted their personal favorite Ukrainian brands and items they love and use themselves.
