Changing dynamics on the front lines: where the war is heading next: Q&A with Kyiv Independent journalists (Patreon)

Dear Kyiv Independent community members,

As Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine grinds on, the dynamics on the battlefield are continuing to evolve. After months of difficult fighting and defensive operations, Ukraine is increasingly taking more initiative on the front lines — reshaping the tempo of the war and forcing new calculations in both Moscow and Kyiv.

On Wednesday, June 10, Kyiv Independent Reporter Asami Terajima and Reporter Francis Farrell will discuss what is driving these latest battlefield developments and what these changes could mean for the months ahead.

Join the event by registering through the form below. You can also submit your questions in advance through the same form. During the event, we will address a selection of these questions, as well as those asked during the live session.

About the hosts Asami Terajima covers Ukrainian military affairs and front-line developments for the Kyiv Independent and is the co-author of the weekly War Notes newsletter. Francis Farrell is a reporter at the Kyiv Independent and the co-author of War Notes.

If you would like to explore the topic before the discussion, we recommend an article by Asami Terajima from inside a Ukrainian mission to liberate territory from Russian occupation, and an analysis by Jimmy Rushton on how Ukraine gained the upper hand in the drone war against Russia.
