I’m happy to have supported Kiev Independent for this long. I also hope my support will last long after the war is finished and justice served. This will be my first time asking a question. One of the topics I picked up soon after Biden announced Russia’s mobilization was to follow the critics of Biden’s move. One of them, John Mark Dougan, a fugitive American who fled several years ago, had several interesting and questionable reasons for being in Donbas, as explained on his YouTube channel. Many seemed to be politically motivated by his support for Trump. Even more so, he picked up a former Russian “war-protester” by the name of Maria who did a lot of translating for him starting around last summer. Well, his YouTube channel got deleted somehow around 1 month ago. It seemed to have coincided with the Wagner march and the revolutionary groups that started their own military movement. I was wondering if you ever picked up on stories about him and/or other foreign expats, especially if they seemed to have “disappeared “ over the past year or so. Once again, thank you for your clear and educational reporting and I hope to hear good news from you guys in the future.

What defense systems are needed to protect the air space near the front lines to help stop.such missile attacks on cities and villages near the front lines? Is it the need of F-16s, which would not automatically give Ukraine air superiority?

Not long ago, there was an uproar over the number of air defense shelters thst were closed or not meeting minimum standards. What progress has been made since then to increase the numbers of shelters available for more of the civilian population, please? Thank you.
