If the counter offensive is now unlikely to reach the coast (per Mike Kofman), what are realistic objectives and what advantages would they bring?

What munitions will come with the F-16s that Ukraine can put to good use? I know the JDAMs and AGM-88 HARMs Ukraine already have, will work. It makes no sense to have these jets with 11 empty pylons and little else to load on them. As I see it, F-16s will allow Ukraine to do combat air cover, close air support, medium and long range interdiction, reconnaissance and more.

very interesting, Francis' eyewitness reporting is very useful. #SlavaUkrainii

I'm all for the F16s but I'm from Australia and we have 46 F18s that are just sitting idle. At least 14 of these still have 2 years on the airframes and using some as spares the UKR airforce could equip at least 2 squadrons. No one wants to buy these aircraft and the deal that Australia had for the whole package was under $160 million and is worth even less than that now. I wish there was a way to push the Australian and US to just send these aircraft right now. As an ex ADF member I would almost guarantee there will be current and former instructors, pilots and ground crew who would happily volunteer to train the UKR AF to operate the platforms. If you add that to the promised F16s then between them you would generate an entire fighter airwing. I am a rank and file member of the Labor party and I will continue to bring this up at branch meetings whenever I can. I know AUS can do more and I am pushing but if there is anyway to help do this I'm open to ideas. Cheers Al

So many in USA refuse to see that Russia is a terrorist state that will not stop their aggression until they are stopped.
