Dear Kyiv Independent community members,

We need your questions for the next episode of “This Week in Ukraine.” The topic this time is Hungary – its close ties with Russia and continued sabotage of Ukraine aid amid war.

Hungary has recently announced its opposition to Ukraine’s EU membership bid, and that it will also block the next tranche of EU military aid for Ukraine unless it receives guarantees that no Hungarian company will be added to Ukraine's international sponsors of war list.

To send in your questions, you can leave them in the comments below, message us on Patreon, or email our community manager Brooke at brooke@kyivindependent.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

Sir Shoom

What exactly is Victor Orban’s reason for treating all Ukrainians like shit?

maria duczko

I understand Fidesh/Orban are on Putin's leach. Hostile not just to Ukraine but Sweden, EU and the democratic values inside and outside the country. How could it happen after the occupation, the death and the terrible suffering from the hand of Soviet Russia? And later the period of a fantastic economic and social progress in the free, independent Hungary never seen before?

Roger Howell

Is it strictly "follow thew money," or do the leaders of Hungary just fear putin?
