wow, ive seen this movie dozens of times but they never had the scene talking about smeltings, is this an extended edition? or is it like a deleted scene or something?

so im rewatching it, (yeah i know, get a life) and theres two things i should point out... 1. harry isnt quicker on his broom because he's smaller, he actually has the nimbus 2000, which in their world is basically the supercar of the wizarding world, it costs a fortune, and is fast as hell (0 to 150 in 10 seconds) 2. the reason owls are so prevalent in this show is because thats literally their only mailing system. you wanna get the paper, an owl delivers it, you wanna send someone a message? these magical owls will find the recipient anywhere in the world. theyre dead useful

you guys were wondering about quidditch rules and stuff, basically the ball they were passing around gives 10 points no matter which hoop you put it into, and when the golden snitch is caught, it gives 150 points and the game ends, if the snitch isnt caught, the game will never end (apparently one game went for months) so the snitch getting caught doesnt necessarily mean your team wins, if the other team has 150 or more points more than your team, then catching the snitch will actually LOSE you the game

you remarked about the mirror of erised being a cool name, its especially cool because erised is desire backwards, and the mirrors function is to show your deepest desire

Welcome to a very loyal fanbase. Loved this reaction. Please say you're going to react to the rest of the series.

I read the books as they came out, before the movies would release. When the very first one came out, I was reading it nd fell in love with the complexity of Snape's character. However, I was extremely worried because he was so obviously being set up as the bad guy in that book. I never ask the endings of things, but that one time, I did. I asked my Roommate if Snape was the bad guy in the end of the book. I told her it was because it was too obvious, and if he was the bad guy it was a waste of a great character. I didn't care if he was bad guy in future books, just in the first one. So, I was not disappointed. Snape, Snape is my favorite character and has been since 1996 when I read the book. As I read that first book, I wanted to protect and guide little Neville Longbottom, the boy who kept being hurt or picked on but got ten points in the end. So, Neville became my second favorite character. No matter what these two characters did or had happen to them, both stayed my favorites throughout the series. Snape for the complexity and brutal honesty written into him (minus the fact that in the book he is basically a child abuser), and Neville for his journey from little boy to the man he was heading to become. No one had faith in him, and this first books, he showed so much promise.

As we used to say back in the good old days of "phone in request radio" (IYKYK) "Long time caller, first time listener"😁 I have read the entire Harry Potter book series at least four times. I am now once again working my way back through the series but this time in audio book format as read by Stephen Frye. I HIGHLY recommend it. 90% of the questions first time viewers of the movie series have are answered in the books and listening to Stephen Frye is ALWAYS an EMMENSE pleasure.

Daniel Radcliffe got the role of Harry Potter when director Chris Columbus saw him in the BBC tv series adpatation of David Copperfield in which he also appeared along with "future" major Harry Potter adult costars Maggie Smith (Professor Minerva McGonogal) and Imelda Staunton (Delores Umbridge)

Currently watching for the first time here and you're spot on actually about the points in quidditch, they do get counted into the house point jaws thats why winning the game is also so important for the houses to make a big points jump to win the house cup

I subscribed to the patreon to see those full reactions !! It's very nice. ( You should check R.W.B.Y. its a gem as well for the Lore)

I just recently discovered you guys and I am loving the trips with you! I believe I heard you mention one a video or two Doctor Who. Fun fact if so, Madame Hooch (the one who taught the flying lesson) is the person who voiced the Lady Cassandra in Doctor Who (the “last human” that was just stretched skin and always needed to be moisturized).
