Great reaction! This is a classic episode in Supernatural fandom. I personally find it really tough to watch. The first time I saw it when they got to Wednesday and I thought they were through it and then they weren’t… With the shortened season (due to the Writers strike that year) they’re giving lots of little markers with both Sam and Dean and how they’re dealing with Dean’s deal which I like. Last time Dean admitting he doesn’t want to die and Sam saying they’ll find a way to save him, to this ep leaving Sam with no way to save Dean and seeing what that does to him.

This is such a difficult one to watch - especially as a DeanGirl - watching my boy die over and over (I think it works out that Dean died 102 or 103 times) it really shows and puts the viewer into the mindset of Sam as he sees these deaths happen. || The show really does a great job with the fading color after each death, and then with the robotic mannerisms that Sam exhibits as well as his willingness to murder “Bobby” to get Dean back, it brings Sam’s terrifying state of mind into the viewer’s consciousness. The thing that always gets me is the “dead brother cheeseburger” that Sam has ordered and is sitting across from him as he eats his dinner. || Jensen often talks about how much fun he had filming of this episode, contrasting with the hell that Jared (as Sam) was going through watching his brother die over and over again. || I enjoyed your reactions a lot! It made me laugh watching your realization of what was happening. Good job in sussing out the ‘Groundhog Day’ connection before Dean mentions it.
