It's not a democracy - it's a Ricktatorship!

Not a democracy... It's a Ricktatorship! Damn, Andrew is such a good actor! And before all the Lori haters starts pointing out all the ways that woman has pushed Rick and Shane against each other for freaking months, let's talk mystery guy with a freaking samurai sword! Tell me that wasn't cool as hell! And clever, too, this guy has walkers close by to keep the others off his scene, but took their arms so they can't make a grab for him. That is some next level shit right there. Also, can we take a moment and just love how Daryl and Carol is becoming closer? I like the way it rolls off the tongue; Daryl and Carol... I think it is exactly what those two need right now, there's a bond between them already, that started with the Cherokee rose. Alright, now, can we talk about how Lori has been running from Rick to Shane to Rick to Shane and whispering in their ears, begging Shane to stay, then telling Rick that Shane thinks she belongs to him, admitting to Shane that she had feelings for him, then trash talking him to Rick. And fine, Shane wasn't the best of men at the end, but let's be honest here, a lot of what happened would not have happened if she had just kept her mouth shut, instead of putting ideas into Shane's head, and then do the same to Rick. And then have the gall to act offended when Rick actually kills Shane. Yeah, no, not winning any awards in my corner, Lori. So, season 3, and there's a prison close by. Sounds like a pretty smart idea, doesn't it, it would be perfect for them.

And this is why nearly everyone detests Lori. Rick has the right of it though, when you are talking survival you need a clear leader not a debate every time a decision needs making.

Rick needs to show more accountability but also YES. Finally moving on to my preferred part of the show. :>

Such a great finale. Rick is in a tough spot because being a leader is about pressing on and having confidence no matter the circumstances, no matter past mistakes (which many are simply unavoidable in a world of limited information). Self-doubt is far more dangerous than making individual errors. Becoming a Ricktatorship as many put it, heh. That's one way to go about it, we'll see how that turns out for our gang. Onto S3!

This is only my opinion but when I first saw the second season I found it to be a little slow moving & it still feels that way after seeing it again except, of course, for the last 2-3 episodes. The last 2 episodes were my favourite & made for some excellent tv. I know they were probably using this season to build up the storylines of the different characters but it seemed to drag until the craziness that just happened which was amazing. Rick may come across as insane by what he’s saying & how he’s saying it but maybe he’s just tired of people always looking to him for answers & then those same people constantly criticizing him. Like he said if they don’t like his choices then leave. Good Luck!! I’m happy Shane is gone. The conflict between Rick & Shane was interesting to watch but it couldn’t go on forever &, boy, what an ending. Thank you for your reactions. They’re great & I look forward to seeing many more😃 PS - Something that Andrea says in episode 12 always bothers me. She says maybe Rick shouldn’t leave all the time. It makes it sound like he’s always gone & when he goes that he’s not doing anything important. I can only think of 3 times (I could be wrong) that he left & each time had some degree of importance. He went to help Merle but also to bring back the bag of guns & ammo for protection, he went with Shane to drop off Randall to try to protect everyone on the farm & he went to look for Hershel which was extremely important because Hershel is the closest they have to a doctor & if they hadn’t gone for Hershel I think he would be dead. Remember Hershel would’ve been in the bar all by himself when those 2 guys from the bad group would’ve showed up & if they didn’t kill Hershel right away then who knows what they would’ve done to him. They could’ve tortured Hershel for info about the farm or since Randall was in the bad group & knew who Maggie was he may have recognized Hershel therefore Randall could know where the farm was so they could attack it. Andrea’s comment just doesn’t make sense to me especially if you think of what could’ve happened to Hershel. Pls let me know what I may not be seeing.

I would LOVE to hear why guy on the left thinks Rick hasn’t been the best leader. Because, not only has Rick been a great leader, someone who understands how morale is important, someone who is physically capable of defending others, someone who is skilled with his gun, someone who has others interest at heart, someone who already intuitively understood, from the start, that the only way to stay alive is to keep a united group that will have each others back, someone who knows how to pull a group together, someone who knows how to be a diplomat, someone good at strategy, someone who is brave, etc. But he is also literally the best and only viable choice out of everyone in the group. Lori, Hershel, Shane, Glenn, Daryl, Maggie, Carol, Tdog, etc couldn’t do it. None of them could do it. So I really don’t understand why guy in left thinks Rick is lacking in leadership skills and how he thinks he could do/be better. Also, finding out that they’re all infected doesn’t really change much. I mean, yeah, at first they were all shocked, as one would be, but afterwards you’ll realize that nothing really changes. Because yeah, you turn when you die, no matter what, unless you died from a head would, but so what? You’ll be already dead anyways. So this really doesn’t change anything.

Definitely the Ricktatorship for sure. Lots of my friends say season 2 is slow also. I just say not everything has to be 1000 miles an hour all the time. we really get in-depth with a lot of the characters because of this slow paced stuff. doesn't have to be monster of the week or in this shows case character kill of the week to make a good story. When people die like Dale and Shane you actually care because you know them. that kid in the Winnebago or Otis's wife sorry I just kind of went ok dead collateral damage people I don't Know or care about.

Oh Also love the Angel wings there Daryl Dixon

I’ve heard so many people talk about how much they love Daryl’s bike and hardly anyone seems to notice the SS bolts on prominent display 🙃 lol it’s *almost* a cool bike

Sometimes I have to remember that you guys are watching this for the first time and that I’ve seen the whole show half a dozen times and these first few seasons dozens of times lol! Y’all are just getting to know these characters and don’t know yet how things will turn out. But honestly, even when you’re missing certain contexts, I find your analyses well thought out. I love how much empathy you have for all the characters and how you’re constantly looking at situations from multiple angles. You don’t play devil’s advocate for the sake of being contrary, but you do try to put yourself in everyone’s shoes and not just your faves. These are really fun watches and I’m loving what you’re doing with it.
