I love Carol but I think Rick made the right call by leaving her behind. Carol was starting to make important decisions for the group all by herself. Who made her judge, jury & executioner, it definitely wasn’t Rick or the group. That was one of the reasons why Rick had stepped back from being the leader because he said the important decisions for the group shouldn’t be made by just him, one person. That’s why there’s a group committee now making decisions. You can’t just have everyone deciding on their own what’s best for the group & then doing it. It would be total chaos & not every idea is a good one, for example Carol killing Karen & David. (I explain in the comments of episode 3 why I think killing them was a bad idea). If there are no consequences for what Carol has done then what’s to stop her from making decisions on her own again & doing something drastic next time there’s a threat. It’s a slippery slope & what happens if that threat comes from Judith or Carl or one of the other group members. Rick decided he couldn’t risk his children like that & I totally agree with him.

Absolutely love Daryl💜 His character growth over the seasons has been amazing to watch. He’s so caring & protective of our group. It was sssooo badass watching Daryl move towards Bob & threaten him. A person would have to be nuts to try to draw their gun on Daryl. Totally crazy!!🤪 lol

I think this episode does a good job (along with the rest of the episodes this season) of setting up the things that will later shape the personalites and actions of the group...especially Rick. I'm excited to watch the rest of this season.

Carol killed two people in cold blood. I don't think she even understands just how cold and unnecessary that was. Rick made the right call, I think. But I still cried like a baby over it. I relate to Carol quite deeply. I was also married to a monster. Much like her. But I'm here now, and enjoying my life. We humans really are stronger than we think. Carol is a great example of this. Also, I have to say I really wish that cute little hippie couple had made it. They were so adorable. Cheers :)

It's worth it to also remember that Daryl and Merle's father was a horrifically abusive drunk. I commend Daryl for having a zero tolerance for alcoholism. Especially when it endangers the people he loves.
