"If you can be redeemed. then anyone can", such a great line and concept, and probably not what most people were expecting from a show based on a character from a graphic novel. It was so funny when the 'one million mom's' group were doing their whole 'anti Lucifer' schtick, because all they succeeded in really doing was getting people curious about the show and tuning in to at least watch a couple of episodes. Surprise, the show ended up with more Christian fans than was probably expected. Instead of getting the show cancelled, they managed to increase viewership. Lt Marcus Pierce suuuucks as well in this episode. Talk about a character designed for you to take an instant dislike to. When this episode aired as well a lot of the fanbase were pissed that Lucifer didn't have his devil face. The scenes where Lucifer showed his devil face in season 1 and 2 were really popular with fans, and a lot of fans also really wanted to see Lucifer with his wings back and his devil face as well. Having him get his wings back somehow, but then taking away his devil face kind of felt like a bit of a punishment or insult to some fans; like "if you really want to see him with wings, then we're going to take something away from you that we know you enjoy" kind of deal. It's not what the writers/producers meant by it, but it still didn't sit well with some of the fan base. I really do with they hadn't turned the scene where Lucifer's trying to show Chloe his true form into a semi joke though, with Chloe asking if he's 'gassy'. I kind of always felt they could've played that scene differently, especially with the realisation that Lucifer no longer has his devil face at this time. Look forward to the rest of season 3.

iirc Maze is absent a lot this season because Lesley-Ann Brandt was pregnant but she's great when she is around tbf

Personally I think, Tom Welling (Pierce) is a TERRIBLE actor. But he's such a nice guy and so good looking, he gets quite a number of jobs. Tho I am glad he got the Superman job, and not Jensen (who was runner up for it). Otherwise, we might not have our beloved Dean Winchester.
