Seeing Hershel dragging himself across the ground, just had me wondering what he could have possibly been feeling and thinking in that moment. It was probably pure adrenaline I don't know. And then Philip grabbing him with the blade again and what he must have felt. SICK. I'll never forget that scene... I can handle his death as a character, there's no way he would have been around forever. A gunshot to the head would have been whatever because it's instant. But he just died in such a barbaric, horrific, painful way that it's hard to accept that fate for him. That's the sickest part of it all. And also symbolic that, the most kind and righteous and generous person who deserves nothing but peace, would die in such a terrible way feeling nothing but pain and probably terror.

This episode is very, very difficult to watch. I had to prepare myself because I had seen it before & I was devastated when Hershel was killed. I cried so hard the first time & I almost stopped watching the show. Hershel’s character was so outstanding & the way he died was so vicious I didn’t want to watch anymore but after I calmed down I realized Hershel wasn’t my Grandpa & I decided to keep watching. It’s crazy to think of our group without a home again & it’s going to be hard to watch everyone deal with everything that has happened especially Maggie & Beth losing Hershel. RIP Hershel RIP Scott Wilson who played Hershel. He did such an amazing job in this role & it’s so sad that he’s gone.

Yeah this episode was such a hard watch. We are huge Hershel fans and I don't think we'll ever get over this one.

This is among the hardest episodes of all to watch. A lot of people quit this show after certain events or deaths, like this one. Because it's too hard. Please keep watching, though. See it through to the end. I'm begging you. I swear it's worth it to see the whole story. Love you guys to bits. You're both so good at this. Cheers :)
