Poor Jimmy Novak. But his sacrifice was certain, to save his daughter from the same fate. Brilliant episode!

this episode is so heartbreaking man, but it’s beloved for a reason! jimmy novak you are so special to me. his plead with cas to be the vessel again at the very end…whew! the most devastating part has to be that after all of that, as soon as cas takes control of his body again, he doesn’t spare amelia or claire a second glance :( and can we just point out that misha is such a phenomenal actor because at no point does jimmy resemble cas (at least for me) not to mention, we finally got the scene where dean finally sees sam drink demon blood. oh, my heart aches for them both in equal measure. you can really understand where both of them are coming from. sorry for the essay lol, i’m looking forward to the following reactions, thanks so much guys!!

It sounded like you might not quite get the difference between angel & demon possession. Demons can just take a vessel. Angels have to have permission from the host. That's why Cas was talking to Jimmy for a while. To gain his trust.
