Let's Go! I've gotta thank you guys cause BlueLock became my first sports anime I watched cause I don't even play/watch soccer so I didn't think I'd enjoy it but the show is fantastic.

Cactuar Nick

I was real excited for episode 7, that's one of the biggest hype moments for me and it only gets better from here on, I was bummed last week seeing where it stopped off after introducing Chigiri but I'm glad I lived to see this week!

Maya Coleman

Let's gooo it sucks I can't watch it now I am in Honolulu on a tour😃 😂

Cactuar Nick

CHIGIRI! CHIGIRI! CHIGIRI! RUNNING DOWN THE WING!

민준 김

carlie mimicking kuon is the best part lmao🤣

Ace B

We just getting started. 9-11 are hype x5

MyAnimeLand

Now we are getting to the good part!

MelanieRS

Ok.. so in japanese there is no set letter for L, the R sound is used for both L and R sounds in foreign words. It's really annoying for English names that get translated in the subs wrong because of this... aka.. Leo here being written as Reo or even Alan in Haikyuu being written as Aran. But yeah, his name is Leo

xander geerts

Be ready for much much more of this!

le

Man I love Reo 😭

Belinda

Aww I wasn't expecting this today! I hope you're feeling better Carlie❤️

Jason

C&A, whatever you do, don't split up ep 10&11!!!

Vid08

Viva chigiri viva chigiri running down the wing hear team Z sing. I have not read the manga anime only do we reckon Isagi is more like a Paul Scholes in his earlier days? Not good physically or even 1v1 but elite awareness and ball striking and then weight of passes to his teammates. Or maybe if we come close to a striker maybe Thomas Muller with his awareness and knack for goal but also his assists.

Mouse

Such a great scene, great reaction too. I can now say spoiler free Chigiris my fav. Knew Ange would pick up on the soundtrack, one of the most epic themes (if you learn to play it for the intro song I’d be pumped af). Keep an ear on his VA too, it’s the first time you hear emotion in his acting but does an amazing job bringing intensity to the scenes

HopelesslyImmersed

Oh man I cant wait for you to get into the next selection stage, hands down best part of the show. Its everything the first selection is but dialed up to 200% on pure hype and action. Love how pumped yall get with the characters :D, glad you're both actively enjoying the series and characters, hopefully you'll be just as hyped as the rest of us for the Movie and season 2 xD

RoZiiii

Best girl Chigiri ftw!!!

storm (kasey) !

sooo many good characters in this show im so glad yall have met nagi reo and zantetsu :]

mohamed rafee

Love the reaction! When’s the episode 9 reacting dropping?

Belinda

She's transferred her scorn from the newslady in Haikyuu to Kuon, and I'm here for it 😂😂

Dania Alfreh

Barou has the same VA as Sukuna so the whole “king” thing makes a lot of sense 😅 I’m not sure if he’s based on a player but he definitely gives me Zlatan Ibrahimović vibes (and I’d say Gagamaru would be Haaland)

Kere Jibi

"They're doing something with him" - famous last words

Aizensalami

I'm interested to know which type of winger are you Ange? Speedstar? Dribbler? Crosser? All rounder?. I'm more of a speedstar/dribbler type.

Cactuar Nick
>>132348362

I wanted to see if one of the two girls who called Chigiri the "former genius" looked like the newslady and we could make it canon that they're the same beetch

Phil

Episode 7 is the episode that made me dislike blue lock. When I watched it on my own when it first released I only watched episode 8 after this and then stopped. For me chigiri was the most dislikeable character, yes even more so than Kuon, and then everything was focused on him. Kuon atleast did everything to win but with Chigiri it felt like up until the end of episode 7 he did nothing but stand around. Plus I felt like his moment was really anticlimactic. They dragged that built up out for way too long. But tbh, it feels a little bit better the 2nd time around with the reactions.

Everyone can have their opinion :) Most people have a different one tho

Jeff
>>132412632

nah minority of people not most who watch blue lock you can hold your wrong minor opinion no problem. The built up was perfect IMO plus the music and animation chefs kiss

Jeff
>>132412632

your missing out too you should try it again so many epic characters that you don't get to meet if not well skill issue

Phil
>>132412632

I guess myanimelist or IMDb showing a higher ranking for Haikyuu is a bug on the website. Well only blue lock fans are so passionate about their anime that they hallucinate better ratings or tell people who like a different anime more, that they have a wrong opinion :D

Phil
>>132412632

That's why I was excited to see C&A pick it up, so I can watch it with them and maybe end up enjoying it more

JadonTheEternal

ange is pretty good at the soul reads in this show tbh. It's impressive

🤡
>>132412632

Damn you sound defensive af. Nobody cares about mal which is a obscure website that 99% of anime fans dont even use. Going by your logic lets bring up actual numbers and sales. haikyu is complete trash to slam dunk and hajime no ippo which have double the sales of midkyuu

HopelesslyImmersed

Chigiri wanted to quit soccer all together because he literally lost everything after his ACL injury. He was told his joy for outperforming his rivals, and confidence in his ability to play unhindered was in tatters. Literally joined Bluelock half assedly as an excuse to put the game behind him. Its somewhat sad that part of him knew he had what it took to be the best in the world but didnt wanna risk crippling his leg, so he created excuses to make himself feel better about giving up. People can dislike Chigiri all they want, but I respect the fortitude and courage it took to throw caution to the wind, all for that blissful moment of wiping the smug grins from Kuon and the twins' faces xD Also showing Isagi that he is HIM

Cayseron
>>132412632

blue lock beats haikyuu in sales numbers because its anime about soccer the more popular sport, not because its better anime. by your same logic bigmac is the best burger in the world because it has most sales. more does not mean better

Carlie & Ange
>>132404834

I was more of a speedster/ dribbler type of player too! As i got older i focused a bit more on shooting/finishing

Daniel Wallace

In episode 8, you were thinking of glasses-wearing characters that Zantetsu reminded you of. For some reason I thought of Jin from Samurai Champloo; he also wears fake glasses, but for fashion not to look smarter (he's smart enough as it is)

Imani Brooks
>>132412632

I like both shows. I respect your opinion, but I feel like if you continue Chigiri will grow on you along with many other characters who get the spotlight after him. Blue Lock isn't a one-man type of show and it has a lot of twists and turns. Haikyuu is great, but so is Blue Lock in a completely different way,

Sarcaamstic

"That's Yor !", Ange sure has his waifu detector on !

Matthew W
>>132412632

Dog wtf are you talking about? Chigiri's backstory build up and his climactic comeback moment are objectively the most hype moment in the series up to this point. Seems like you have some weird personal thing going on because idk why you would have such a hot take.
