Link Click is not a Japanese anime but a Chinese donghua(Chinese animation) so there should be a sub with voiced in Mandarin. Honestly for romance, I'd recommend WOTAKOI over Horimiya and Dress up darling. Downside of this show is that majority of the jokes tend to revolve around Otaku culture and Otaku/weeb jargon. If you are not familiar with those, I can't say you'd appreciate it as much.

Definitely check out Mashle and Gintama for a heap of laughter 😂 Wotakoi (Love is Hard for an Otaku) is a great slice of life romance, highly recommend!!! Kuroko no Basket a good replacement for Blue Lock to see another type of sports anime. And I reckon you'd love the MC for My Hero Academia, I'd say he's a bit like the Tanjiro/Yuji/Gon/maybe even Hinata type 🌞

Obviously I'm only one voice to consider among many but as a big fan of My Hero Academia, I would love if you guys did it in English Dub if and when you get to it. Especially since you specifically noted Chris Sabat, it's maybe his best role and I think the Dub is spectacular and perfect for a show like that. I've seen the whole show in both versions but only the dub voices truly hit me hard. But as I said, I'm just one person, I imagine you'd probably go for Subbed, I just wanted to put that out there and pray it happens. <3

Wow the fact they haven't seen or heard of Tokyo Ghoul Unravel opening is crazy. Its basically THE OPENING of all of anime. Like normally if people start out watching anime openings the unravel opening is top of the list. TK unravel opening is literally cemented in the upper echelon of anime openings....

When my hero academia got released it was one of the best shonen because it was carefully embracing its genre. It only got forgotten and put in the background because after this some very popular anime got released. Mha definitely isn't trash, it is for sure something that Carlie and Ange would enjoy a lot, thats so obvious.

i don't know if it is a good idea to watch your next show just base on OP, if that the case some show that came out years ago are in a huge disadvantage. I try so hard to like it but couldn't, - They tried so hard to push emotions on me, I was like: Let me feel good or bad or sad for said character, why are they pushing so hard to make me feel said way, - There is not a single likeable character on the main cast, don't get me wrong they are good but not one that I can say "this is my character here" not a single one - The idea that they call a "Villain" a simple person doing a crime like if there is someone doing a felony, you have to call him a "Villain" is so cringe. - The fighting scenes were ok but why is there so much internal dialogue fights, is good to have them but name me one fight that wasn't a internal dialogue fight scene that wasn't All Might against Nomu.

The MHA hate goes too far. It's not the best shonen out there, but people act like it's the worst show ever. I share a lot of Ange's tastes, epescially when it comes to characters and music. MHA delivers in both of those categories. with how much he loved Haikyuu, I have a strong expectation he'll enjoy MHA, they're very similar vibes. Also, side note, not everything you dislike has to be 'trash', you can just say it's not for you

I'm not a dub hater, and MHA is definitely one of the better ones, but I'm the opposite. The sub is just so much more powerful in the hype moments, and honestly i think Deku and Bakugo sound kinda corny in dub

All I can really say about MHA is that it's one of a very small handful of popular shounens out there that have actually gotten me to feel something. The animation is uneven compared to something like JJK or Demon Slayer, but I'm WAY more emotionally invested in the story and characters.

Same for MHA. But I will say it does pick up afterwards when shiz hits the fan and becomes a lot more grounded. Plus the Todoroki family arc is a MUST watch in any story medium. It would be worthwhile to only watch snippets of MHA for this arc. But it may be too much to trudge through to get to that point.

Wow patreon really came through w/ the recs. A lot of these are my favorites! Also found it funny how KHR and Gintama fans wanted a resubmission xD I feel like you guys would really like Wotakoi (such a sweet, wholesome romcom), definitely recommend it! Otaku can be roughly translated to nerd, but it's basically the Japanese term for someone who enjoys anime, manga, games, etc. Saw someone rec Kemono Jihen up top, I'd rec the ed of that one over the op.
